The R button on my joycons has started acting up so given all the wireless issues too I broke down and just ordered a new switch

Gonna see if I can send the old one into get fixed and then hopefully turn around and sell it.

in other news fire emblem is indeed lots of fun. Only a couple months in, but already feel way more attached to these characters than I did with awakening. (I'm playing on standard mode, but I feel like if any of these people die I'm 100% save scumming to bring them back ) but the built in rewind feature already helps a lot with avoiding needed to do that

Three Houses is easier than other FE games even without the Divine Pulse.

I was kinda bummed Lunatic wasn't an option. Hard mode still wasn't much of a challenge. But I'm glad they're working on one right now.

 

There are some sales on the e-shop. I downloaded Bastion and this is so much fun. What other indie games should I download?

 

Transistor is by the people that did Bastion. It's like way way way way better and Bastion is super good.

These would be my suggestions if you've never played them:

Okami HD:

If you're looking for something Zelda-like that isn't Zelda, try out Okami where you control Amaterasu, a wolf who also happens to be the sun goddess! Use your Celestial Brush to restore the world and fight enemies in this ancient adventure.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy:

Do you like Law and Order, but hate how it isn't anime enough? This game is for you! Take on cases and object your way through this puzzle laden visual novel series.

Nidhogg II:

For anyone who might miss Garbage Pail Kids, Nidhogg II shows the world that disgusting, but beautiful art hasn't gone out of style! Hack, slash, shoot and curb stomp your enemies as you try to race to the finish.

The Gardens Between:

Time can be tricky, but it can be even trickier when you control it! The Gardens Between takes you on a time-based puzzle adventure through wondrous environments.

Resident Evil: Revelations 1 & 2:

Somehow managing to strike a balance between RE4 and RE5, these two games find you back in control of hit characters in RE: Revelations 1&2. In the first entry, you find yourself stranded on a ship, trying to find a way off while scrounging around for ammo and unlocking new areas of the boat. The second game has you playing four different characters across two different, yet intertwining, storylines as you explore a mysterious island where people are held captive and fear transforms people into horrible monsters.

I feel like this sale is sparse, but that's just because we had a lot of really big sales recently.

I actually did play Okami on the PS2 back in the day, but I wouldn’t mind playing it again. Phoenix Wright looks...interesting. I might have to play it to get it. The Gardens Between looks really good and will be on my list next. Maybe I’ll get into Revelations eventually. RE4 is my favorite by far. I plan on playing Bastion for a while though lol

I picked up this game the other day on the sale and have been loving it. If anyone likes stealth games I'd seriously recommend it, especially for how cheap it is atm (it's reduced by 90% and cost me £1.49).

 

I assumed that was bad because of the price. Might get it now

 

Someone was talking about how more people need to play games with scores of 7 or 8. A lot of games or developers that have potential can get lost in the shuffle because people only play 9s and 10s. I understand that people have limited time and money, but there are so many games that are either incredibly creative or outrageously fun, but just not polished enough or something that people will miss out on and it bums me out.
