They have to do region specific Directs this month. Covering VC, UI, online functionality, and any other hardware details. We are getting to close to launch to have this many unanswered questions left on table.

 

Yeah the 3D was cool and having it portable was great. Yet I did have some lag and control issues, overall I preferred the series on the Wii.

 

I just ordered from Amazon, nothing exciting for me. I just hope my Mailman doesn't get weirded out when I hug him for bringing it.

 

I originally ordered on Amazon but I cancelled it when I realized I'd probably be waiting for most of the day for it to arrive.

 

I was able to pre-order a collector's edition of Breath of the Wild solely for the soundtrack.

 

Mario Run has been downloaded 78 million times, 5% actually purchased the game. Which means it has generated 39 million in US dollars. Not to shabby, but Nintendo was expecting a 10% purchase rate. I'm sure the android release will give it a nice bump though.

 

5% is very good compared to industry averages though

 

I live in Upstate, NY, I am traveling to Brooklyn on Friday to visit my fiancé for the weekend, her parents live in Long Island, and I too might try to make a trip to the Nintendo store while I'm there.

 

I don't know why I thought otherwise, but each joycon has 2 shoulder buttons apparently. That's pretty cool.

if they didn't, that would mean you'd need a pro controller to have a full button lineup!

 

Pokken Tournament is really fun. I hear almost no one ever talking about it, though.

 

So to put in a micro Sd, all you need to do is lift up the kickstand and slide it in? That would be a major improvement over the New 3DS

 

@ChiliTacos yeah haha. I don't know why I didn't put 2 and 2 together.

@circasurviver just worried it would be more prone to damage that way. But not the biggest deal.

Switch looks so much more stylish than 3DS and Wii U. Even more excited.

That is actually pretty dope. Being marketed pretty well to be honest.

That music is horrible but otherwise their campaign has been fine I guess, at least their going hard

 

Can't believe I'll be playing a new Zelda in about a month.

 

Yeah I think Nintendo already knows we're gonna swallow this thing entirely so they're probably catering to a different market for these commercials.

If I were to introduce Switch to someone I know (who don't play a lot of videogames, or used to) I'll probably show them that latest clip.

Fingers crossed we get a steady stream of good and varied games. That's really the only thing missing for me now.

Roughly 5,300,000 people paid the $10 for Super Mario Run - with a month to go before it even gets to Android. That feels pretty huge.

 

The Switch/BOTW Super Bowl ad should gain them some good attention.

 

It's obviously catering to millennials, which makes sense, I just think it's too pandering and some stuff, like the music, feels out of touch. That's 90% of modern marketing though. Overall it's pretty solid I would say. I definitely think they had more of a thing going with the marketing for Wii & the DS though, some of it was so good it made it into the biggest marketing textbooks. They had Beyonce playing Rhythm Heaven, it doesn't get cooler than that

 

Yeah so that number will now grow to 5,500,00 plus roughly 10,000,000 pirated copies ;D
