Apparently SpawnWave tweeted a teardown of the joycons from the "New" Nintendo Switch that just dropped and they soldered the antenna to a new location to hopefully fix connection issues, so that's cool.

No word on the actual joysticks/drifting though

I played a few hours of that on Xbox years ago. It was kind of old school but not bad.

I really hate that whole trailer, but more than that I really hate the Pokemon "fans" who won't stop bitching about trees and the national dex.

why is "fan" in quotes about people upset about a franchise dropping one its core design philosophies? does that make them not fans? this is one of those posts that makes me wanna turn around and leave the site for the day, also dumb to use the term "bitching" in a 100% negative post that could accurately be described as "bitching"

They looked ripped from ocarina of time and that was used by fans to highlight that the graphics are pretty bad

Yeah that's minor to me but I can see people being annoyed by that

 

The biggest I'm annoyed about so far is no megas

I would bet that The Pokemon Company specifically didn't put in all the Pokemon so they could sell other games, DLC and so on so the phrase "gotta catch 'em all" refers to not only the Pokemon, but the games themselves. It's business. On top of that, I think adding new features, graphics, animations, gyms, etc is much more enticing and important to keeping the franchise fresh and alive than just having all 800+ Pokemon in the game. It also doesn't make sense to have all Pokemon in one region so I don't understand where those people are coming from at all.

When it comes to the trees, the game isn't and things can be improved. If people are really so concerned about the graphics of a Pokemon game on Switch then I don't know what to tell them. Did they expect it to be incredible? Does the lower quality of the trees take away from their Dynamax battles?

Everyone's free to like and hate things as they please. At least I'm not going around calling the out the devs, saying they should lose their jobs for being lazy and sending threatening tweets to them.

 

People are not upset because you can’t catch them all, they’re upset that for the first time ever the game literally can’t display all of them (should you e.g. have them in the Pokemon bank). Not being able to catch all isn’t new and isn’t weird, but this is.

I also think the graphics discussion is dumb, as usual.

 

I find both things to be a non-issue.
