The other thing giving me pause about which version to get is that any sequel will be Xbox exclusive, so I’m wondering if choices will carry over. But any sequel would also be for Scarlett, so they’ll probably have to do the PS3 Mass Effect 2 thing at the beginning anyway where they walk you through the major decisions from the first game and ask you to make the choices before starting.

 

I have never played a Persona or Fire Emblem game (except the Warriors spinoff), but Tokyo Mirage Sessions is really good so far. It is one of the last Wii U games I have left to play, and it is sad that, although Nintendo brought so many Wii U games to the Switch, some of the really offbeat and interesting ones are stuck on a dead console that will be hard to emulate in the future.

 

I’m not sure, I think the idea is to not change architecture in order to ensure complete backwards compatibility (if you could even call it that at that point), so carrying over stuff like that might be easier this time around

 

Yeah true, and I guess that the saves could be imported through the cloud. Ugh this decision is going to be difficult lol

Wanted a game other than just BOTW to play, so just bought Super Mario Odyssey. So far I've been enjoying the Switch!

Will definitely consider this one! Trying to not buy a ton of games all at once and spread out my purchases. I'm sure my attempt to be a somewhat responsible adult will totally fail though and I'll buy a bunch of games one month.

 

Does anybody here use more than 1 switch? This may just be me doing something wrong but one thing I noticed is that I have to be connected to the internet to open a digital game. So it kind of sucks on road trips because say I want to play Golf Story, it has to check if the game can be played. Which I’m guessing means it’s making sure my other switch isn’t already playing the game. But to do so I’m guessing it needs internet connection? So unless I’m at home, I can’t even play my digital games since they originated on my first switch

i will grab Link's Awakening but not at launch. played the original on 3DS VC in the last couple of years or so and it's still fresh

 

Yeah I get that. But I don’t even use my original switch. So it just sucks that I need internet connection to play a game.

So say someone has their switch and they are all digital instead of physical copies. They decide to buy a switch lite to take on the go instead of their original system. They won’t be able to open their games unless connected to the internet. Seems kind of frustrating. I totally get not sharing digital games but at the same time there’s gotta be some kind of workaround right?

If you don’t use your original Switch you can change which one is your primary Switch, at which point your original Switch will be the one that needs checking in to play. I never done it so I don’t know how but it’s definitely a thing you can do.

Yeah I know I’m going to get Links Awakening I’m just struggling with the idea of paying $80 for a remake of a game I’ve played a few times before already.

Also curious about Dragon Quest. I played Dragon Warrior on the game boy colour back in the day and adored it.
