Me neither it's gone fine every time I've played it

 

couldn't agree more. that's why I could never really get into Mario Kart, the ratio between skill and RNG (or rather, the attempt of "balancing"? the game) is off to me.

I was a little let down on the maps. I was hoping they’d release more as DLC but it doesn’t look likely. I’m hoping now they’ll go back to more interesting and expansive maps with the regular MP formula back in place

 

When 'rubber banding' goes on with a group of friends, that imo is when the most enjoyment is coming out of the game, everyone screaming and laughing at each other. Even if I'm the victim of it I find it hilarious and at least a somewhat memorable moment playing games with my buddies.

Mario Party sells plenty. They don’t need to compromise their vision, however flawed some may think it is, to make it bigger, because it already is big. Also, I doubt it would all that bigger without rubber banding. The internet can make niche complaints seem big.

 

Going on a long weekend with the family. My son is interested in the switch and this weekend could be fun to introduce some gaming. Anything anyone recommends for a 3-4 year old?

In all seriousness, I think Mario Kart, or even Mario Odyssey, or New Super Mario Bros.

Little kids can get through a level pretty easily, but as an adult it’s really fun to 100%

 

Pokemon usually comes up in these conversations. The catching in Lets Go would be something a 3-4 year old could have fun with.

Definitely Yoshi. Snipperclips is a great game as well. All the Lego games are usually pretty fun.

 

I saw Dark Souls was on sale the other week.

 

I was definitely playing 2D Mario when I was like 5 and I was probably more patient with it than I am now

 

Yoshi is incredible. Probably my GOTY so far.

 

it really is fantastic but i find it so hard to binge because i am obsessed with 100 preventing a level before moving to the next

just got home with it. Wal Mart had very few copies near me and the nearest couldn't even find theirs. the store i got mine at received two copies total, i luckily caught them before they put them on the shelf

 

totally. I had to make myself let go of that notion, and then it rocked. Think of actually collecting everything as NG+
