i know i’ll probably play it on the side when i need some platformer fix so i wont be super active. kinda wanna do stages to but not sure if i can rn

I got MM2 as an early birthday present from my son (actually from the wife since he's 16 months old), and I'm going to dive into it tonight and start creating some stuff. Can't wait to check out everyone else's stages as well!

lol, chaining combos is getting more and more difficult for me as the stages go on

 

MM2 story mode feel like mario mods but I mean that as a compliment. it’s so weird to see these self-contained puzzles/remixes.

 

the bullet part was fun, but i feel like it needed more subtle signals. the red arrow feels clunky. trying to figure out how to make it more obvious what to do. i have no idea how to get that 1 large coin at the top lol. that is not a criticism. i just don’t know how.

there’s a weird bug with the P symbol if you fail to finish it the first time. sometimes the P symbol doesn’t show up (or takes a while to show up). suggestion is to make the P symbol manually trigger when Mario steps on a button or something so the player has control on when he wants to start that particular part.

also backtracking that specific area felt like a chore and less rewarding, i think having a pipe that leads back to the start of that area is better bec i feel like the challenge there is to speed the level forward seamlessly (not struggle going back just to activate the P again)

also in one of the fake paths there’s an area where you can go up and it looks like there’s a secret area when you jump on top but there was nothing. i wasn’t sure if it was intended to have nothing (or there was a secret i missed). just thought it was random.

it was a fun level though. and just post codes if you want. i’m still finishing story mode so i may not be able to play immediately but i’ll check them out for sure

 

Don’t stop posting them. I think most of us just don’t make levels.

i tried making levels, and i don’t think i can do it without a stylus. it feels so weird (not that I’m any good at making levels lol)
