place an order or open the chat at best buy and tell them you want to price match this to whichever version of the game you want. Not guaranteed to work but it worked for a bunch of people on slickdeals. people reported it working for Target's site too.

 

supposedly the max levels you can upload in super mario maker 2 is 32 which is weird

how long would you want the game to last? celeste you can finish relatively quickly, hollow knight is a good journey, and stardew is essentially endless.

Ideally pretty long because I need to start saving up for my own place so other than link’s awakening + luigi’s mansion I might not buy anything until Christmas

As someone who is really liking getting back into Hollow Knight after starting then abandoning it for almost a year, get Mario maker

Eh hollow Knight is a quarter of the price of MM2 and should be experienced by everyone

 

It’s likely to go on sale again and MM2 is the new hotness right now

 

If you do get MM2 hopefully there's a Walmart by you it's only 50 bucks there

Stardew Valley is not challenging at all but it is relaxing. Celeste is a great platformer and is a quick finish but if you’re planning on doing collectibles and finishing the difficult post game content it will take time.

Cadence is pretty much the riskiest buy since it’s not for everyone. Crypt of the Necrodancer is fantastic though, and there’s a demo out. so you can try that.

 

I honestly don't see the point of getting Stardew Valley, a mediocre game, when you could get Hollow Knight or Celeste which are both amazing. Also, Rune Factory 4 is coming to Switch soon so there's another great reason not to waste your money on Stardew.

Mario Maker is fun, but it's not going to have the impact that the others will.

Stardew Valley is great

 

Great for people who haven't played good games like the Rune Factory series.

 

I have played Rune Factory and I love Rune Factory 4. A lot about it if more fun to me than Stardew Valley. However if you lack a certain Anime tolerance, Stardew Valley is the better option. It’s also a lot better in terms of farming than Rune Factory or even most of Harvest Moon.

 

Cadence is very short.

I think out of those Hollow Knight is the best game, although I have to warn you, it's fairly difficult.

That said, you literally can't go wrong with any game on that list :)

 

The farming in all those games are my least cared about features even when done well. I find farm management boring. I like developing my town, making new outfits, cooking lots of cool dishes, exploring interesting areas, creating relationships with the villagers, raising pets/animals, and in the case of RF and SV, battling enemies.

Stardew Valley by far has the best in terms of farming and multiplayer, but those happen to be the two things I care about least in those types of games. I also found all the townsfolk incredibly irritating. Like you said, it's different for people who have different tolerances/preferences.

I like playing a game where my carrot can turn into a giant carrot that hide a secret dungeon for me to explore.

 

I want Castle Crashers.
