started BotW tonight. Opening scene is Link getting out of a hot tub in his boards shorts and then looking at his iPad. what a dumb game.

 

Fantasy Life was fine. Didn't blow me away.

Rune Factory 4 was incredible.

my switch has decided it doesn't like connecting to my home wifi tried a bunch of different stuff with various network settings. still no dice. gonna try debugging more tonight but gonna be really annoyed if this prevents me from playing MM2...

 

hell yeah! this game is a blast and I can't wipe the stupid grin off my face playing it. if you're looking for dumb fun action this is it.

 

I have had this happen with WiiU, Switch and 3DS, out of nowhere, and in all three cases it just worked again the next day

 

It's very weird. I pre-ordered MM2, started pre-downloading it, put it in the dock.

Come back an hour later and the download has failed and it has no internet.

Spend a while trying to figure out how to get internet back on it. Forget what I did but eventually it comes back. Everything seems to be fine.

Then try pre-downloading MM2 again last night. Starts working fine, put it in the the dock.

This time wasn't as lucky getting the internet back, even after trying again in the morning.

I’m trying to convince my brother to buy me Mario Maker 2 by saying he can keep my switch when Pokémon comes out so he doesn’t have to buy his own.

Mm2 already has loads of levels less than one hour in, this game is gonna destroy me

 

Nintendo letting you put skirts on your male characters in MM2 is probably more because its just easier to not make gender flags for your clothing than then making some bold progressive statement but its still cool to see. Sometimes the right move and the easy move can both be the same thing (though granted, they could also just drop the whole gender concept from your mii altogether but hey baby steps)

 

just got FFX for switch for $6.59 from best buy! they price matched a kohls pricing mistake for the ps4 version
