What was that driving game that was in 3rd person? You collect gas and when you're fast enough superman appears in the sky. I remember avoidinf trucks and different colored cars.

 

Rad Racer?

 

referring to this one. I gave the wrong descriptions. I remember it very differently. Actually thought it was a 3rd person view. So weird.

I googled rad racer and actually played that one as well.

 

Considering I was one of the few kids who grew up without an NES, I might have to pick this up. And like someone else said, I'd love to see an SNES version as well.

 

Bought MHG. Can't wait to play.

How is it?

 

Like a greatest hits of MH. It's good (although admittedly I like 4U better so far).

The monsters are so damn easy to kill. That or me and everyone I know have gotten so much better at this game.

 

Girfriend surprised my and my roommate with copies of Monster Hunter Generations for the three of us yesterday, played four guild quests or so last night and loved it. The Aerial Arts specialization is so damn fun. I'm glad it's a little easier - my girlfriend got frustrated enough to quit around 5 Star hunts in MH4U, and my roommate by 9 star, so I was left playing with randos online for the meatier endgame stuff. Hoping they don't get frustrated at this one quite so easily.

 

Haha. I don't think so. I ran through Village 1-5 without even crafting potions. I was pretty much using the preset items at the start.

Other news, now a proud owner of a Wii U. So damn excited to go home.

 

Ps for MHG players you probably know this but just in case to unlock the Trader options you either do all the quests you can only play as a Palico or reach HR4 in multiplayer. Actually HR3 unlocks the second trading slot but HR4 unlocks the third/last one.

 

Nice. Also, did you successfully claim your bonuses for having a MH4U save? I selected it in the main menu but can't collect it from my Housekeeper in-game, driving me nuts.

 

I enjoy MH but I do suck at it, so this may be up my alley

Anyone else participating in the last Splatfest? I am sad I came to this so late.

 

Haven't played Splatoon in a few months but I gotta jump back into it for the final Splatfest. Feels weird that it's the last one.

 

What. So what's gonna happen after? I had no idea it was the last one but I'm playing with the purple girl's side. I literally just started playing 1-2 hours ago.

 

personally not a huge fan of the splatfests just because turf wars is my least favorite mode. Rain Maker and Tower Control are way more fun IMO.

 

@zigbigwig nice list of games. Did you get Xenoblade at Best Buy? I saw that and Mario Maker are only 30 bucks right now.

 

Nah. My friend gave me the copy. He told me the game was roughly 100hours long haha.

Was it the same for you?

 

Yeah 100+ with all the side quests. With the massive world, eventually getting the mech and then the flying ability. It did a good job of staying fresh and keeping me engaged.
