I was under the impression that it was gonna be a touch screen when they said during their jan 12 presentation that they took DNA from all previous consoles, they mentioned the Wii U touch screen specifically iirc.

Wouldn't be surprised necessarily if that's just not true though

 

That is disappointing to hear. The only Wind Waker I played was the HD version, and using the second screen for maps and items made it such a better experience than constantly pausing in Ocarina of Time.

 

It is a touch screen, you just can't use it when it is docked

 

Which I find weird because then any game that utilises it won't be able to be played when docked.

Yeah definitely a new game. They were clear it saying it was the first new console FE since 2008

 

The mobile game is a gacha game like Brave Exvius. This is bad for me because I am horribly addicted to the Dragon Ball one, Dokkan Battle, and have been since launch day. Will totally play.

Interesting that Google Play gets it first. I would complain, but it's nice to see them share the wealth.

 

Tons of great stuff - Warriors out soonish, remake of Gaiden out in a few months (and the amiibos look great), a new console Fire Emblem after all this time.

The Fire Emblem fanboy in me is super satisfied.

 

Psyched on lots of new Fire Emblem. Awakening seems to have lit the series up a bit over here (for good reason, it's fantastic) and Fates is great, too, so I'll be day one on each of these titles for sure (to the point that it'll probably sell me on the Switch itself).

 

I always thought Directs are meant to be longer. Haha.

 

But bs on that mobile game for focusing on Android

 

Have you ever played one of those style mobile games before??? They appeal to all my worst gaming tendencies. So much grind. But I can't stop.

 

That mobile game is gonna mess me up. I just know it.

 

Not as much as everyone else. Last one I played was Valiant Force and I only stopped because Pokemon Su/Mo released haha.

But yeah FE: Heroes daaaamn that is gonna wreck me as well.

 

Cool beans. We can have a chorus Fire Emblem anonymous. I am cold and alone in my Dokkan Battle addiction.

 

Haha. It would be so hilarious if the mobile game implemented permadeath.

 

Besides the fact that we're getting a new console Fire Emblem for the first time in a decade, the most exciting part is that there's a simultaneous release for Echoes worldwide. Are we finally past the days of waiting a year to get a localization?

 

With the removal of region-locking, I've gotta imagine there's an added incentive, so let's hope so!

 

Someone in this thread told me earlier than FE for the Switch was very unlikely. I'm feeling super good right now.

 

There are at least 5 games I'm legitimately excited about for the system. That's approximately 4 more than the Wii U had lol.
