Soooo I spent like three days straight playing the Splatoon Special Demo and now I'm downloading the full game. It's so much fun!!!

 

I’ll still sell anyone a hard copy of splatoon for $30+ship

 

I’ll believe it when I see it. The cheaper model makes more sense to me because Pokemon and Animal Crossing are coming, but why the more expensive model at this point? Don’t people still complain about the Switch’s price? Of course maybe they think the niche is big enough. It worked for the 3DS, but those were cheaper to begin with.

 

the reason i have a hard time believing this is the same reason we got a much slower drip of limited edition 3DS models and revisions, which is SKU space. having three concurrent models that you’re marketing somewhat equally feels like itd get real tricky especially when bundles and limited editions enter the mix

 

The cheaper model would probably be available everywhere but still be Japan-focused

 

I figure they’d probably do what Microsoft did with the Xbox One, nix the launch sku and replace it with an “S” model, and introduce an “X” model above it

I'm curious about this thing because I can't imagine they'd release something smaller but that still fits the joycons somehow, so are they gonna have smaller joycons, too? And a smaller dock for the TV?

 

Based on the rumors the cheaper model would be handheld only I think, so for mainstream Japanese Pokemon and Animal Crossing fans

 

So ostensibly they might not even have to change the size of anything, just sell a version of the existing Switch and just not include a dock for TV connection, but a charging wire and call it a day?

A cheaper handheld only Switch wouldn't surprise me at all. A docked only one gets a big no from me
