Baba is You came out on the switch this week. Really cool and challenging puzzle game if anyone is into that.

I like the style. I don't like Doraemon and that series' character art. That's a pass from me unfortunately.

But I'm getting Rune Factory which is top tier anyway, so I'm really happy.

 

I just now Googled Doraemon. I did not know this was some kind of crossover. Thanks for the heads-up.

 

Really good so far. About 50 puzzles in and none of them have felt like a retread of previous ideas. Generally with these kinds of block pushing games, I feel like getting the solution can be kind of unsatisfying since its like 'oh, I had to push it in this combination of ways instead of the other combination I was trying', but with this, each puzzle feels like its own thought that you can solve just by staring at it long enough. Some puzzles are VERY hard though, so if you dont like hitting brick walls in this kind of game, I wouldn't recommend it.

I've got my kids here for spring break and they're dominating my Switch till the weekend is over hahaha but starting next week I'll be able to play it more

Honestly I still don't understand amiibos or know what they're for haha

I've had it answered for me and either forget or still dont know

 

They’re just scannable figures. What they do depends on the game.

 

They’re a money trap for someone like me. I don’t even wanna think about how much I’ve spent.

 

for splatoon amiibos can get you exclusive gears depending on the one you bought.

pearl and marina gives you biggie-styled and tupac-styled gear respectively. the rest are stuff like school uniform, etc

 

So before I purchase Wargroove today, can someone give me a rundown on what the update was about?

 

The update added a lot of quality of life improvements such as a much needed checkpoint system during battle, the ability to change battle speeds, new difficulty levels, adjustments to the effectiveness charts (shows which units are strong and weak against each other), the ability to add bots to multiplayer matches, and a bunch more smaller things.

I just started it back up again and the default difficulty is hard which I personally feel is too unforgiving for my first playthrough.

 

Like Wargroove a lot, but yeah I was having a tough time with it at launch, interested to hope back in with the update
