I broke my commitment to not buying games and got Splatoon 2

i think we can start a dedicated salmon run team now? my wife and i play Splatoon 2 (we're good not amazing in it). out of all the Nintendo games I still find it weird that Splatoon is the one that doesn't have its own thread.

outside Chorus it's probably one of the more popular games on Switch

Gotta be Castle Crashers Switch. That'll be a great pick-up for anyone who hasn't played it yet. It's a perfect couch co-op game.

I hate Salmon Run and want to like it so bad but the whole defend against wave of enemies gameplay does nothing for me

 

due to being a child I may have downloaded the Kirby cartoon

 

Well, hating good things is an option I guess

 

Salmon Run is extremely fun but I get a good team maybe 5% of the time

 

Just not my cup of tea and I much prefer team based to co op when it comes to shooters. Never claimed my opinion was correct.

I prefer co-op because competition isn't really my thing and makes me unnecessarily angry haha. I'm bad at shooters.

If I could just have a new Rainbow Six Vegas game with three-four person co-op, I wouldn't need another shooter ever.

I may be a dummy for this - but I bought a Wii U today for $100. My fiancé had one in the past so she has all of these games and all she’s been wanting to do is play Wind Waker. We have a Switch and I’ve never played the Wii U so I’m excited.

 

Wii U has a ton of fantastic games so you’re definitely not a dummy. I don’t regret having mine at all.

 

What are some must plays?

 

Pikmin 3
Mario 3D World
Both Zelda ports

I’m not sure if you have a switch or what games you have on it but I also bought Tropical Freeze because it was $20 compared to $60 on the switch haha. Also, the Wii U has a large virtual console which is the main reason I play mine still.

 

What genres or game franchises do you like?

 

Kind of all over the place depending on mood - but here’s what I play the most on my Switch (I’m not sure what genres I would be): BotW, Odyssey, Smash Bros, Pokémon, Tropical Freeze, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Hollow Knight.

 

I have Tropical Freeze. Game is so fun.
