Some say that cartoon Zelda (incl BotW) looks like kid Zelda, but to me it just looks like Zelda is supposed to look, whereas “realistic” Zelda looks like a kid Dark Souls

 

WW just looks like a Nintendo game to me, but then you get those people who think all Nintendo games look like kids games

 

wind waker link is also the most emotive of all the links, somehow the cartoonish version seems more human than the "realistic" versions. also helps that so much of his quest is personal (saving his sister).

 

Seeing WW in movement for the first time has to be one of my favorite video game moments of all time

 

Speaking of Nintendo being kids games I played through Super Mario World recently and uh... how the fuck did I play that game when I was a kid? I feel like I beat it but it was so much harder now

 

The inventive gameplay and perfect bite-sized chunks of missions is why Nintendo is god when it comes to original games, so the graphics aren't as big of a deal to me anyways.

 

That game plus The Lion King on Genesis have me like "how did I do that"

 

speaking of super mario world... i played through it on the snes classic recently and i... uhm... didnt really like it? i hated every time i had to look for an alternate exit, like that's not what i play platformers for, and mario was so slippery, more so than usual, every level felt like an ice level. i used to think i loved this game and it was the first mario i played but i am no longer interested in playing it again. thats my nintendo unpopular hot take.

 

The song that plays when you die in The Lion King on Genesis is forever ingrained in my mind.

 

I don't get how WW looks like a kids game it looks nothing like Fortnite to me

 

It’s fucking crazy, everytime I start now I stop angry like 30 minutes later

 

GCN WW literally still looks better than Fortnite

 

I want to see all the people that think Nintendo games are kids games beat Tropical Freeze

 

Tropical Freeze is so good. Maybe my favorite Wii U game, either that or 3D World. Would be cool if they did a Returns/Tropical Freeze collection for Switch.

 

Wind Waker is 2nd to Golden Sun getting brought up, maybe every 3 pages for WW.

 

What about Golf Story

 

I doubt they would since they already released Tropical Freeze for Switch at full price

I mean Dan's right, BOTW is a very very very popular game (hot take) and as a result it makes a ton of sense for people to talk about it

 

I don't think I'd even know Golf Story existed if it wasn't for this thread
