Yeah, but judging it against Beetle Adventure Racing for the N64 is helpful, and MK64 is still worse :D

But very good point regardless. There was only so much you could do with the technology available. It's just one of those things that when I go back to it, I still have fun in games like Mario 64, Mario Party and Smash Bros 64, but I leave disappointed from MK 64 every time

 

Mario 64 is still great. I replayed it a couple years ago and the level designs still best some platformers made today.

 

Mario 64 is still a top 5 game for me. I have a lot of nostalgia for it, but even taking that away it still has most of what I like in gaming

Seriously considering a Switch for college. How is the Mario Bros U remaster? I never had the Wii U but I loved the precursor they made for the Wii.

Diddy Kong Racing was better than MK64 imo (only just though). It had a much better Single Player campaign and the Multiplayer was on par with MK.

 

Never owned it but that's my girlfriend's favorite N64 game. I downloaded a ROM of it once but it was super buggy

 

I remember the first time I found the hidden summons in Golden Sun it blew my fuckin mind
