I replay games so damn much

 

My attention span is so short these days and with having a baby I don't have time to dig into something new that requires a lot of attention. So replaying games I like so I can be on autopilot or something like smash is perfect for me.

 

I immediately replayed each Golden Sun 1 and 2. If there's a new mode in Castlevania, I play it. I replayed Resident Evil 4 many times and Revelations. Outside of that not much I recall that I ever replayed front to back.

 

I replay a lot of RPGs, years apart though. Not much else

 

I don’t know how to finish games

 

I would love to play red dead 2 but who's got the time.

1. I wasn’t talking about you specifically, or at all really. More the general view on all this among many gamers.
2. The way he “informs” uses a lot more words (and snark) than necessary, most of which have the purpose of grandstanding. Like someone else said, dude is definitely pompous. I’m not saying the basic issue isn’t worth talking about.

I mean, I am the same. I only said it is on the rise (and has been for years), not that it specifically is “bad”. It (as part of a combination of aspects, which I mentiond before) just has unintended consequences, some of which are positive (more people can afford games), some of which are negative (see previous posts). The industry is also to blame for this, because they enable this race to the sale bottom (with few exceptions, like Nintendo). You definitely don’t have to feeld bad, you’re not doing anything wrong at this point. Not every problem can be fixed, sometimes things have to collapse first. Doesn’t mean there isn’t value in accurately descibing the problem, instead of cherry picking.

I’ll also move on now but I wanted to adress your post.

 

no i agree, i wasn’t at all trying to take you to task but it’s an increasingly frowned upon thing by the “day zero” crowd on reddit and era and i’m sure as hell not opening my mouth in those forums haha

 

my favorite new hobby now is counting the number of pages until Golden Sun is mentioned again

 

No industry should build itself on day (or week) one sales anyway. That’s bound to lead to disaster. Also, waiting until you buy games is not actually the same as only buying games on sale (which, again, also isn’t necessarily “bad” at this point).

I've had the Mercury Lighthouse theme stuck in my head all week

 

Turned on my switch tonight for the first time in literally weeks. Sat there for over an hour. Didn’t get to play a single thing because there were so many updates to download. Gave up.

Tomorrow is a new day.

i like how they specify that this is much easier than doing the joycon casings. that was tedious af and i ended up stripping screws left and right. it still looks good tho

 

I would love to play Red Dead 2 too but it's not on PC :(
