I preordered the console from Target. I hope there are no issues with stock since this is the first batch, I think anyone ordering today should be good. I have a Wii U, but I never really cared for the system. Zelda BOTW really made this a must have.

 

Preordered the grey one just now. I clicked "Preorder Now" on Target's website for the red and blue one, started to check out, and by the time I had made an account, it told me the preorders were unavailable. So I went for the grey one and it worked. haha.

i would like to get one on release day but i dont have the time to stop by somewhere and preorder. either way march will be a busy month for me so ill probably wait til my birthday in april to get one. i liked a lot of the stuff shown last night but seems like a lot of it will take some time to come out. i dont really think nintendo is doing a good job at trying to overcome the failure of the wii u though, but what do i care i love my wii u

 

This Snipperclips game that they're playing right now looks fun as hell. I'm a sucker for these types of puzzle games.

Would be less annoying if their online subscription is super cheap. Maybe like uh.... $20 a year or something. I don't see them providing close to $60 in worth.

 

Maybe we should wait to see what the price point is for their online service before bashing something related to it?

I've been out of the home console game for a while, so I thought it was cool that you get a new game each month to play around with, ha. Definitely smart on their part to give you basically a one month trial of a game to see if it's something you'd want to purchase and play more of.

 

Not when their two competitors let you keep it forever (as long as you pay for the online service).

 

We barely know the extent of their online service yet, it's weird to compare something that we know very little about.

 

I'm still excited but I'll wait til some more games are out for it. The 1, 2 switch thing seemed bad at first but it gives me a Warioware vibe and those were awesome. Battery life sounds fine to me, I'm usually not far away from a power source longer than the minimum battery life lol. At least I want to buy this, I didn't get either Wii system. I've always been more of a handheld guy so that's the big draw for me.

 

Nintendo confirmed it, therefore we can compare. Xbox and PSN let you keep the games, Nintendo doesn't.

 

And what's the price of Nintendo's online service?

If there service is cheaper, than yeah, it makes a lot of sense why we don't keep the game. Without knowing the cost of theirs, it's extremely difficult to compare.

 

weather/work commute today really fucked me for getting an Amazon or Gamestop in-store pre order. Gonna keep my eye out, but spring is so stacked game-wise I won't be pressed to get a Switch right away. Really hoping to by the summer though as I'll be doing some traveling

 

Yes my wife preordered me one with Zelda. She also preordered Mario for some reason but I'm sure it's because she wants it. I wanted the neon joy cons but they only had gray.

 

but at the same time, it's NES and SNES games, how many times do people have to buy those, if you've given it to me for free and I'm paying for a subscription, let me play it as lost as I have the subscription, if I cancel, then yeah, I should have to pay for it.

 

I felt the opposite - if all they had were neon, I would have waited. I'll stick with my black/white consoles.
