I beat BOTW when it first came out and I’ve had zero desire to ever return to it. That game was exhausting and not in a great way. Still very good, but I dunno.

i actually originally got botw for the wii u because i didnt have a switch and got pretty close to beating it, then i got a switch and sold my wii u copy for the switch. i was kind of scared i wasnt going to have the energy to do it all again, somehow i still did it and still had a blast.

I haven't played a second of BotW and I don't necessarily feel compelled to. Then again, I'm the most casual of casual gamers/Zelda fans

been playing Dead Cells for the past, like, 45 min and i can DEFINITELY predict myself getting very angry at this game, lol. i only just started and died a few times but i can tell starting from the beginning is gonna suck so much

So I am aware and completely understand the problem most people have with musou games. They are "just button mashing games where you don't really do anything and nothing happens" and I feel like a lot of the time that's true. However, what I really enjoyed about Hyrule Warriors was that each character felt truly unique and true to how I visioned them. I loved playing as Skull Kid and terrorizing the enemies. It was also a big boon for me to be able to play a character, complete with the art style, from Ocarina of Time and then go play a level in the Wind Waker art style. Finally being able to see a merge of all those characters and styles was a huge A+ for me. Do I think that makes it a wonderful game everyone should play? Hell no, but I think it makes it really fun.

As for BOTW, I have never thought it's a bad game. I just didn't like it that much and think that a lot of people who goes on and on about how it's a masterpiece often don't address issues with the game. The forced motion controls on the ball puzzles in some of the shrines were a pain in the ass on handheld, the weapon durability system (which I hated) is so divisive that if it's going to be a staple of the next few iterations of the game should be refined (personally I think it would be fine if they just added a system to repairing weapons), the dungeons were non-existent, the voice acting was all over the place and the story telling (which has never really been a strong thing in the franchise anyway) was one of the weakest.

Now that being said, there are legitimate and numerous wonderful things about the game like the mechanics they put in for the elements and how if you can use a sword as an electrical conduit for puzzles or the brilliant use of the rune system. But I just don't like people being like "perfect game, flawless, can't be topped" because nothing's perfect. Not even my favorite game of all time P4G is perfect and I will defend to the death that it's one of the greatest JRPGs of all time.

I took my time with it and once I had been all over the map, I decided to finally “beat” it and call it done.

I think I finished with like 60%, and I had 0 desire to comb back through and finish it lol even though it was pretty damn fun otherwise.

I too haven’t finished BOTW. I got distracted by many other games - but I’m determined to beat it someday. I don’t even have any of the divine beast.

I still have to beat Ganon and the DLC but I'm having loads of fun doing all the side shit in BOTW. Probably my favorite Zelda at this point

I beat BotW a couple months after it released but I still play it often. I'm right at 155 hours and I beat it at 100 hours.

A couple of months ago I was beating Ganon a couple of times a day because it was my son’s favorite thing to watch. Lately he’s been making me play Starlink but surprisingly he’s gone back to BoTW since Saturday

I'm not going to be one of those guys who says "how dare you pick BOTW as your favorite game" because you like what you like and whatever, but it's something I can't physically comprehend.

Especially because given when it was released, OOT is pound for pound the best video game of all time.
