Animal Crossing is like video game meditation.

 

Legitimately my favorite Nintendo franchise is AC and I'm happy it's coming out, but there's really nothing they could say or show right now to make my heart flutter. I know what to expect from AC so unless they do something really weird like making the characters have to build their own vehicles like in Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts to get around and accomplish things, it's just kind of there.

I get it, my opinions suck. That's fine and all and I don't have a problem with you hating them. From my singular and personal experience, I've played so many games that, even after seeing gameplay, have been disappointing or downright bad that until it's in my hands and I can experience it myself, it just doesn't excite me anymore.

 

I'm guessing gameplay footage for the joker will be shown and maybe the announcement for the next DLC smash character.

 

I played the mobile game for a minute but it stressed me out- but a bunch of people said it was really different from the regular games. So I’m optimistic!!

 

Alright, whatever. Even if all of that is true, surely you can understand why other people feel differently.

 

It's not that your opinions suck. It's the way you go about expressing them and how it brings others down is what bothers most. If you had said that last part of post, nobody would be batting an eye at this conversation at all.

 

my partner is so excited for Animal Crossing, we better get a release date. Fire Emblem is prob my most anticipated but really i’m most excited to see what the back half of 2019 is gonna look like.

 

i've literally never played a Fire Emblem game

 

I feel like Nintendo knows how much AC fans hang on their every word, so my hope is that they'll drop a trailer and/or release date at the end of the Direct knowing that people will go crazy. Of course that could just be me trying to convince myself haha.

 

That's fair. I think a lot of this is self-inflicted from just taking part or witnessing toxic parts of the fanbase on Twitter or other forums. Like back when everyone kept commenting on every Nintendo post being like "Waluigi in Smash or no purchase" and people who just always comment "next direct when?" and such.

There's clearly a difference between you guys, who are just excited for new games and news, and the other people who just whine because they feel entitled to games or news from Nintendo because "we are the fans and we give you our money, you would be nothing without us so give us what we want."

 

Hoping against hope that Bayonetta 3 release date will drop

 

Nintendo Directs are always hype as hell events. Can't wait for tomorrow.

 

Can’t believe you idiots don’t realize the direct is going to be about Smash 6

 

it’s going to be about a new Mario baseball game and I won’t be denied that

I can't wait to rag on @The Lucky Moose when Persona 5R is announced.

 

Dreamcast library integration would blow my mind. There's no reason to think that's even on the table for the Switch, but I'd lose my shit if they did it.

 

one of the things that could get me the most hyped is a firmware update that brings customization and organization

 

Hell yeah can't wait for the PS1 classic port
