Haven't had drift issues but plenty of connection issues with my left joycon and I haven't even owned my Switch for a full month. Also noticed today that the HD rumble seems to be making a weird noise in my right joycon on the really light rumbles. Really disappointed in the quality control on these things.

Hopefully the new Switch rumored for this year will have upgraded joy cons that are compatible with the old model.

Do I need to do something to actually "register" my one year warranty? How does Nintendo know the date I bought it?

 

Maybe I should see if I can still exchange it at Target honestly.. I got the one bundled with the MK8 digital download, I'm guessing I wouldn't need to exchange it for the same bundle and could just exchange for the regular console and redownload the game from the eShop?

Golf Story.

Actually I always thought that Pokemon is pretty Earthbound-ish.

 

Moose i’m gonna try golf story one day and if after all your hype that game doesn’t pay off my student loans and take out my trash i’m gonna be disappointed

 

In their defense, it really is that good

 

It’ll do all that and clear your skin too

 

Golf Story is a delight. It's fun and not too time consuming.

It is though, it has this semi realistic but weird setting, you battle goofy creatures in turn based battles, it has odd characters, it sometimes looks similar etc

I’m also not the only person who has gone there and there’s also overlap in terms of developers etc. If you google Pokemon Earthbound or whatever you’ll find all kinds of stuff.

Of course this applies more to pre-3DS Pokemon.

Travis Strikes Back is fine. It's not bad, it's just not great. I feel like it would be a lot more fun with two people.

I will say the t-shirts you can buy are really cool. A bunch from great games like Hollow Knight, Furi, Golf Story, etc.

Great deal on a back up battery for 29 bucks, there should be a coupon that pops up to take off another 5 bucks. Nintendo sells this exact model with the Nintendo switch logo on it for 79.99 usually .

I have one of those battery packs and can confirm it's incredibly useful and easy to operate. Recommended.

 

20100 mAh in a battery is fucking unreal, too. To compare, an average smartphone probably only has a 2800-3500 mAh battery.

You can recharge a completely dead Switch close to 5 times with that kind of capacity.

 

Anker have been making portable chargers since way before the Switch, so yeah don't worry about it not having the Switch logo on it

 

It's asinine how much Nintendo up charges stuff just for putting their logo on it.

Yeah, I have an Anker battery for my phone and probably 7 phone cords between my Android phone and girlfriend's iPhone. They make really high quality stuff and always make sure to follow the correct standards/specs. I swear by them to anybody.

Lots of companies out there make some pretty sketchy USB-C cables that you do NOT want to use with a fast charger, for instance.

 

Yeah I only buy Anker charging cables now. You can't get better for the price

 

Yeah those and Aukey are the way to go imo, I've had good experiences with them as well

 

Finding the right charger for my switch is important because I've read so much about cheap chargers fucking up switches. No idea about the validity to that but it's enough to scare me and research what the right chargers are for USB-C
