I never played Guacamelee but have heard it's fantastic. The first one isn't on Switch, right?

Either way, I'll probably get the second one.

 

It is out on Switch as of a couple months ago

 

Skyward Sword is divisive and for good reason, but the art direction was stunning (dat collage effect for draw distances). HD suits it well.

 

skyward sword on switch would be awesome. the only non-handheld zelda i've never played.

 

So I bought my 7 year old niece a nintendo switch and looking for recommendations. It came with Mario cart which she loves on DS. And my aunt got Mario Party. I also bought Zelda for it. She will typically only be playing single player and zero online stuff. Was Mario party a bad idea? Is Smash Brothers ok single player?

 

if she has friends that come over or you will play with her, Mario Party will be a blast. i wouldn’t recommend Smash on single player alone but supposedly the single player in this new one is the best in the series so who knows. i’d say Mario Odyssey is a big suggestion, it’s easy to beat but tough to 100% so it’ll scale to her ability. also look into Kirby and the upcoming Yoshi game

 

I haven't played it, but Captain Toad maybe?

I've seen a few articles today stating that Nintendo has no plans to bring Skyward Sword to Switch.

 

I just want Wind Waker

 

yeah if we're going to get a zelda port, give me wind waker hd before anything else

 

Never been a Zelda guy on any system I've owned. I don't know why, just not a fan of big open world stuff like that.

 

I think Wind Waker on the Wii U is still better than it would be on switch. The gamepad was amazing for that game.

Bought Guacamelee and am downloading now. Should be a good break after beating Odyssey and then going back to that after.

Damn it was just half off. The replay value is through the roof. It's a pretty hard rougelike. But so so fun once you get the hang of it.

Yeah definitelly. It is beautiful.

 

Skyword Sword appropriately gets left off of Zelda lists because it's got a lot of annoying things about it. Being linked to mandatory motion controls certainly didn't help things.

Honestly, just bring all the Zelda games to Switch, but if they don't do that, at least bring Twilight Princess.
