Tried setting up and playing my GameCube last night, only to keep getting hit with an error message ugh

 

Didn’t play new leaf, but did they tame Mr. Resetti so kids don’t have nightmares anymore? Cause I would be afraid to turn on my GameCube for weeks after I forgot to save lol.

 

New Leaf is awesome. Resetti is very tame now and a lot of hardcore fans are upset haha

 

I want ruthless Mr Resetti to come back. Also actual grumpy neighbors.

 

I used to turn off my Gamecube all the time when my friend was playing so that he would have to deal with Resetti. He would do it to me as well so it was okay.

Looks like we got a good MP game coming out y'all. Yes we know it sucks you can't play in handheld mode.


One thing that bothers me, only 4 maps? Hopefully they release more, I feel like they will.

 

I have never seen that. What did it say? Did you try different games or turning it on without a game?

 

A few "Nintendo" things.

Started Mega Man 11 this morning on Switch. Maybe my favorite game series of all time, but I'm SO out of practice. This game is HARD. I'm almost ashamed at how bad I was doing, haha.

Also, Splatoon 2 Halloween event looks like a blast and will push me to get back into it for those cosmetic items. I'm a sucker for anything Halloween-related.

 

I was looking at this local Nintendo social media job opening and I remembered that I once ran a pretty big Pokemon Facebook that fell apart because of political disagreements in 2016 lol I wonder if Nintendo would be impressed or if they would go after me for copyright violations

 

It says “An error has occurred. Turn the Power Off and check the Nintendo GameCube Instruction Booklet for further instructions." I haven’t tried any other games yet but I thought the disc was looking ok scratch-wise. I’m gonna try some other games tonight though. I’m not sure whether the ideal situation would be for it to be a game issue or a system issue because both would be a huge pain and probably non-cheap fix haha

 

This happened to one of my GameCubes. It was usually a disc issue, but I just ended up buying another GameCube because it eventually just became a regular thing. Thankfully GCs were like $25 dollars at a local store

That rumor has gone on for months now. I don't buy it. It would be cool if done right, but it's mostly a meh.

Edit: Ah. This is a new claim from stakeholders. I mean...if I have to sell my Switch to get an upgraded version at a discounted price I will.

 

It is a Nintendo handheld after all, of course this is going to happen haha

Yeah after messing around with it last night it’s definitely seems like it was the disc. Hopefully I can just kinda push through until I get to disc 2 and it’ll be fine from there

I'm still stoked to get Mario Party in the mail tomorrow. I think more mini games will be added over time. This is just the launch stuff.

 

Oh no. You have to use the individual Joycons to play Super Mario Party. It won't let you use the whole controller. This sucks. these things are so uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Ugh and now I see that online mode sucks... I heard rumors but didn't realize it would only be 10 games. I regret buying this now. Damn.

 

We were just discussing this in the last few pages of the thread, haha.

Super stoked. I can't wait to play it later.
