Same! Honestly if it wasn't this way I'd probably just skip it altogether as I'm not one for playing online.

 

you know what's crazy? people clamor for waluigi to be in smash, an unlikeable loser whose only roles are in mario sports games, but no one ever asks for (captain) toad to be in smash, an iconic and amazing mainstay of the mario universe who has been a palayble character in a number of main series mario games and who has his own game. people need to get their priorites straight.

 

This game is gonna be incredible. They keep pushing the limits and making this the best game possible. It’s going to be a real console seller.

how is it? I had great fun playing the first but never picked it up myself.

I need to stop looking at it, as, like with Dead Cells, I need to be saving money hardcore this month.

*internally justifies it by saying it will stop me going out with the girlfriend. stay in and yell at each over about pasta*

 

It's just a better version of the first. More chefs, different stages, slightly different mechanics to make it more hectic. If you were a fan of the first, this is like the ultimate version of that.

 

that soundtrack stuff in Smash is pretty cool, especially with Castlevania tracks. Cant wait to make a playlist of just Bloody Tears a hundred times in a row

 

You know I'm buying a handbag specifically for that. Either that, or an ammo belt to wear my Swtich around my chest.

 

Im playing Dead Cells while listening to the Castlevania 4 soundtrack and its awesome. I suggest you all try it.

I'm not a competitive person at all, and I don't have a lot of friends who I can play Smash with but I'm getting this regardless. I got mileage out of the 3DS one even as a casual player, and I'm sure this would be the same. Not sure if the amiibo AI will back, but I certainly had lots of fun doing that too. My Villager amiibo was a horrible fighter, but damn he was the tankiest Smash character I've ever seen.

Plus, there's another blurred out game mode, gut feeling it's going to be a single player experience. I'm hoping maybe a Streets of Rage type of thing, where the trophies are mini-bosses. Or something like an RPG game where you can power up your character as you finish missions.

Worst case scenario you can just make it a music player, lol.

 

Looks like a new NVC episode will be airing tomorrow. They should address the incident right out of the gate and then quickly move on to Smash.

Smash is probably my all time favourite game series and the thing I'm most happy with about ultimate is the removal of stage hazards - the wii u stages always got on my nerves because they did far too much and made you concentrate more on surviving the stage than surviving other players and it's awesome that you can now switch em off. I really like a lot of the new options like choosing 3-5 characters before you fight or the removing characters after playing them craic.

Really do hope there's strong single player options like adventure mode from melee or even the solo mode from 3ds but there's already an absurd amount of content that's been shown as is so would be fine with whatever tbh

Got up to the last major stage in Dead Cells this am. Could see the fourth boss' door but didn't have a key and died before finding it ;(
