I absolutely adore WW... I actually went out and bought the Wii U just to get WW HD... plus I knew BOTW would come out on it too. So it is/was a Zelda machine. Hahaha

 

Obviously you shouldn’t need this for a game but if you have the amiibos, or better yet the custom amiibo cards, you’ll never struggle for weapons

 

I never really found myself struggling to find weapons. Maybe in the beginning but once I got going, not a problem.

 

I actually liked the weapon durability because I had to keep changing things up but it was never a problem. If anything, I never had enough slots for the cool weapons I’d find

 

Two words: Golf Story.

 

Three words: Nintendo is thriving.

Hey guys, i'm going crazy looking for the right memory card, I just want something that is at least 128 gbs and is fast enough for the switch and obviously I would like the best deal price wise.

 

I feel bad for you, they legitimately just had a sale on SD cards for the Switch by SanDisk on Prime Day...

 

I just used arrows for everything because that game was easy to cheese. *Shrugs*

 

Yeah but I read that particular card had a bad reading speed. So I didn't get it.

A Vase Full of Sizzling Hot Takes, amiright

BotW is probably my fav game ever by now. So many things to love and pick apart. I love that it’s probably one of the few games that lots other game devs gush on because then I get to listen to their opinions which are often more informative and technical than reviewers. There was a podcast with Ken Levine where they talk about what makes it so great.

I agree it’s not without flaws though. And for people looking for a particular Zelda experience, there is a chance that they wouldn’t find it here. So i kind of get where the disappointment is coming from.

That said I feel like they had to make this game first before they started putting back everything else. There were lots of things in here new to the Zelda franchise that I feel like the developers made a conscious effort to focus on simplicity and polish. I really hope the next Zelda game (like everyone else) is BotW-based but with bigger dungeons, even more enemy variety, and all those stuff Vase mentioned. @Vase Full Of Rocks there was another poster (and some I read in other places) here that were looking for the same thing you were so despite my first sentence I don’t think this is a sizzling hot take haha. All valid criticisms.

I love the weapon-breaking mechanic though.

 

the biggest disappointment of BotW for me is probably master mode. I feel like there’s less room for creativity and I wish they went in a different direction (although off the top of my head I can’t think of anything in particular).

 

I was just talking about this to my SO on where they can head next. One I could think of was a sequel to BotW and an entirely new kingdom. Maybe not Lorule but anywhere they can play around with new ideas. They can add the old enemies there and introduce new ones, and maybe include some of the stuff they scrapped like the Minish cap tiny town and elements from old Zelda games that didn’t make the cut the first time. But then they can do different big castles or something similar to ALBW.

Out of curiosity, do you prefer we get something safer like a mix of old and botw zelda or something crazier and more out of the box - like MM, or something as bonkers as the alien invasion they were planning?

 

I really just want a Majora’s Mask to BOTW’s OOT.

I might start playing it again now that it's free. It's exactly like Overwatch except without the toxic and annoying community.

 

I bought a memory card without really looking into the specifics of it and haven’t noticed any change in frame rate, speed, etc

 

Played a couple rounds last night and had a good time. Will definitely be playing more. I didn’t notice but is there a party system?
