Oh wow, didn’t think about that. I’ve wanted to give it a shot so I’ll definitely dive in.

It's such a fun game. It was really rough at the beginning on PC, but they've put so much work into it over the years that it's a completely different beast and really solid now. I'm really impressed with the devs.

That’s good to hear. The movement in this game looks insane.

Oh man. They used to be all over the place, but now they are super fluid. It's a bunch of fun just wall running, shooting a clip into an enemy, jumping off, doing a roll in the air and slashing another enemy with your sword as a finisher.

I have no idea what I am doing in Fire Emblem Warriors but I enjoy it.

Older, but still Nintendo, Ninja Gaiden is incredible for its time but way too hard so I just watched the rest on YouTube.

There is a large speed run community for each Ninja Gaiden, old school and newer generation ones, all the runs are absolutely insane.

Also, I'm terrified how much of a challenge Hollow Knight is gonna be, I defeated the False Knight last night and apparently that is the easiest of the boss fights. Oh boy.

I'm starting to worry about the Switch's future. We basically had four types of games so far:

    A) The usual Nintendo series (which are always great but leave little room for innovation),
    B) Half-decent ports of previous gen games,
    C) 2D cheap games released on the Store,
    D) Low-res versions of multiplayer titles (Fortnite, Rocket League).

Third party developers are already dropping the ball, Dark Souls has been postponed... I feel like the console will die really fast unless Nintendo releases a bunch of ambitious games à la BOTW or Odyssey...

Yeah...I don't think we have to worry about that at all.

    Disagree entirely.

Nintendo is in a new space that the others aren't and they are doing incredibly well with it. We got two huge Nintendo first party titles last year, both of which I believe innovated on their formula (BOTW more so than the Mario). We'll see what they do with everything else but I'm not worried. I will take a 'half-decent' port of a previous gen game I haven't played or finished any day on the Switch for it's portability, and the portable factor is HUGE for many others not just me. I don't see you mention anything about the top-tier indie game library because '2D and cheap' absolutely do not mean terrible games. Celeste is my GOTY right now and that's a 2D cheap platformer. Hollow Knight has taken over the conversation on the Switch right now. I mean, I know/heard of so many people start HK on PC and say 'nah I'll wait for the Switch version'. I think that will become normal. When Stardew was released it was a big deal, Binding of Isaac, Night in the Woods, Dead Cells was just announced. Yes, there is some garbage on the eShop but that's not indicative of the overwhelming support the Switch has received from the indie community. And for the mulitplayer titles, they all run incredibly smooth and I personally don't think the resolution is that drastic of a change. I'd rather have them in their current state than not at all and again, it's on a portable machine.

    End of my rambling thoughts.
