There's a new wireless controller for the NES Classic if you haven't picked one up yet

They'd have to fix the game before that makes me care to pick it up again

One reason is that currently there's no way to play an actual game of tennis in it. Mario Tennis Aces players try to get refunds after realizing there's no "regular tennis" option - VG247

Another reason is the adventure mode is either something you're going to be really into or just find frustrating as it's basically just a giant tutorial with a story.

Online play isn't quite intuitive and there's currently no way to set up an online tournament with friends and there's confusion about doubles play online.

However, if those get addressed, the mechanics are incredibly solid and the actual gameplay is a bunch of fun. Much much better than Ultra Smash. If you're just looking for a fun party game to play with friends, it should be a fine purchase for you if those gripes don't apply to you.

    Hope that helps.

It helps, thanks. I guess I’ll keep an eye on it to see if the problems get worked out

Really love how the joy cons feel in my hand while playing docked. It's so relaxing to be able to just rest your hands however you want. I love it.

  18. Mario tennis is fun online in the simple mode or whatever it is called. Also, they shouldn't have made the curve shot so ridiculous for some characters. Makes it so frustrating.

  19. I don’t know if I’m just not as good at it as I thought but the Blue Dunes or whatever tournament on Golf Story is so fucking unreasonably hard compared to everything else.

Okay, I thought I was the only one having problems with that so thank God someone else had issues. It was a weird and downright obnoxious difficulty spike. I had to put the game down for a while because it pissed me off so much.

Not just you, they definitely upped the difficulty curve pretty intensely there haha. It is doable though, just need some wind to give you a few lucky bounces

Before I dive back in to Hollow Knight I decided to do another run of Shovel Knight and goddamn this game is a joy

I only beat the first boss. I don't think I spent enough time with the game for it to hook me.

I can't recommend it enough! It's definitely hard in the beginning, I think I must have attempted the second boss close to 20 times today but after that (and especially with upgrades/magic/health increases) I started to get back in the rhythm. It's very lovingly made, the lore and art are both fantastic
