Finally I can play Fortnite on a console. Mobile is the worst

 

I disagree with most of that. And long time fans weren't enough to keep the franchise alive before...sooo..maybe it's good they had more broad appeal? Now we are getting tons of Fire Emblem stuff.

 

Haha yeah I love Awakening and enjoyed Fates, but I do miss some of the charm from the older games. Not that the last 2 didn’t have any or are worse, just a bit different.

I did appreciate the effort to please older fans by releasing Conquest.

 

I agree that it's good that there is a broader audience for the franchise. I'm not complaining about the series being saved. I just think that the stories, characters, and art are worse than they were in past games. I don't care if Nowi is technically thousands of years old. She looks like a child and it's weird that I can romance her. Or marry my siblings (I know they're not blood but still). Gimme that serious Japanese take on Western medieval fantasy with all of its political intrigue and darkness.

I still put a million hours into Awakening and made a valiant effort at the Fates games before being burnt out by the sheer amount of game. I don't hate the 3DS games. I just know that the weeabu fanservice stuff doesn't appeal to me.

Something i immediately hate about fortnite is not being able to differentiate between having inverted X and Y axis in the controls

 

65 characters right off the bat. That’s insane. Link, young link, and toon link seems like overkill to me though. But I guess if they were going to do everyone they had to do everyone.

 

I think you can use a standard 3.5mm headset with the Switch on Fortnite? I find that really promising if true.

Hey, I know there are much bigger issues in the world, but I really hate that I finally have fortnite available to me on the switch but am unable to squad up with my friends due to Sonys dumb cross platform policy. Why on earth was this not on the direct

 

it's mainly about exploring, beating bosses and gaining new abilities. every time you enter a new area try and find the map guy so you have an idea of where to go. also get the compass as soon as you can so you know where you are on the map.

 

I feel stupid but I have no idea how to play Fortnite
