I’m really glad everything that was shown is coming pretty soon. I don’t really like knowing about games 3 years in advance

 

fortnite and hollow knight both downloading as we speak

 

so it looks like Nintendo is listening to fan requests now

PS4 Fortnite players having to create a new account to play on Switch is some bullshit

 

I feel like people are complaining for the weirdest reasons. They are whining it was too much Smash even though they said well in advance that it was going to be focused on Smash. Also Nintendo does a lot of directs during the year so we'll hear about Metroid, AC and more later.

Also, we got an old school style Mario Party and a new Pokemon game. That's huge.

 

I think it's fine it was focused on Smash but it feels like they could have saved the announcement of ladder combat for a treehouse or something

 

They also had a really good answer for why stuff wasn't shown at this year's E3: they're not close to done. They want to show people the games that are coming out soon instead of doing what other companies do and be like "look at the alpha footage of a game that will get delayed three times".

 

I just want an announcement like we got for Hollow Knight and Fortnite but for War Groove

 

It's strange they didn't show anything for Yoshi though, that game is still slated for 2018 with no more info.

 

I'm sure they're just waiting until they have something to show. I wouldn't be surprised to see another Nintendo Direct in July.

 

Yeah. I think one thing people forget is that Nintendo has a lot of directs scattered throughout the year.

 

Yeah Nintendo has their directs pretty much whenever so Yoshi could still come out this year

 

Thinking out loud, no updates for these yet:
- unreal engine yoshi
- shin megami 5
- that retro game that is rumored to be star fox
- metroid prime

 

I was telling a co-worker that I thought that they would have a smaller roster for this Smash in order to focus on competitive balance. Soooooooo glad that I was wrong.

 

That entire Direct had me so hyped
