My roommate’s gf left her SNES classic at our house so I’ve spent the last 3 days playing Super Metroid and god damn that game is so good.

Currently doing a run through of 2D Metroid myself. Finished up Zero Mission, currently on Samus Returns, and next will be Super Metroid. Such a great game

so, keep in mind that Switch is my primary/only console and I have historically loved first person shooters: Is Paladins gonna be worth a grab?

oh yeah, also downloaded Yoku before work and forgot the damn thing in a hustle to get out the door. woe is me.

 

Isn't Paladins free? (I played it and genuinely don't remember)

 

It is going to be, but you can get early access if you pay and then all the champs are unlocked so you can basically save yourself a lot of grinding if you choose to be a supporter. The internet seems to be in a collective uproar about it, but it's not like people won't be able to play for free, they just gotta wait a little.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends announced for Switch - Nintendo Everything

This seems to imply that grinding for currency while offline is supported for Switch. If so that is huge to me.

 

Normally going into E3 I kind of have predictions on what direction Nintendo will go (Rocket League, etc), but honestly drawing a blank this year. Aside from Smash, and some old announcements I honestly have no idea what they’ll be showing.

EDIT:
I really want new Animal Crossing game, maybe some Fire Emblem alpha footage, a smaller team inside IS taking Advance Wars, SMT5, the retro game, something from From Software, a zelda remaster (or a gamecube emu announcement).

A Final Fantasy port or remaster (maybe FF8 or FF9)

 

Fire Emblem is supposed to be this year so they should show that. I'm guessing we'll see Retros Star Fox game, more Smash and Pokémon, hopefully see some Metroid gameplay.

I think the thing is most want is a new Zelda from the Link Between Worlds team but I don't know how likely that is, lol.

They have to have footage, right? Last year all we saw was a lame title graphic. I hope they at least have a trailer featuring the environment and music.

 

i think we'll see a trailer with footage, but not actual gameplay.
