As much as I love Axiom Verge, I’m going to recommend a newer exclusive game like Odyssey. A 3 year old game, released on 6 other platforms, just isn’t going to get my friends excited about playing the Switch.

 

Just gonna second the Yoku’s Island Adventure recommendation. Really fun so far

 

I don't follow that logic. The sole difference about the Switch is the portability. That's the key. It makes it so games you may not have been able to enjoy before because of time constraints or lack of people to play with aren't problems anymore. I know a TON of people who were excited that Doom got launched on the Switch because they wanted to be able to take it with them wherever they want. I also have another friend who isn't getting a Switch until Okami HD comes out for it because it's the definitive way to play with not only portability, but motion controls and touch screen controls.

The experience is raised and bettered by the platform regardless of the age or multiplatform nature of the game.

However, with all that being said, I do understand your point. Playing something you can legitimately only experience on that specific console is nice like a God Of War on PS4 or BOTW on Switch.

Did you play Fire Emblem/Advance Wars?

 

I love pinball almost as much as I love platforming so I will definitely be buying that

 

Yeah, it's much more like XCOM and such. I think it's a little different than people are accustomed to.

 

There are only like two things I find frustrating in that game, but it's definitely around an 8/10 if I had to score it. It's really clever and charming.

There's also end game stuff which is cool.

Well I am terrible at aces.

 

I am baffled by people who are really good at games like that. Especially since the demo just came out.

 

It took me a little but I think I got the hang of Aces for the most part. I cannot make it past round 4 of the tournament though lol.

 

Big fan of Advance Wars. Never was able to totally get into FE.

 

Bloodstained Curse of the Moon is really cool

As cool as the portability and other features of the Switch are. They’ve never convinced me to repurchase games I own on other systems.
A system’s features is never a deciding factor for me, it’s always the library of games it has.
I have no idea if the Xbox one has more, or better features than the PS4. The PS4 just had more exclusive games that intrigued me.

That said, any multi-platform games that come to Switch that I haven’t played before, I would most likely choose the Switch version. Unless the games performance is drastically worse or something.

yeah it's been pretty bad but the times I've made that far it was fine and the people just crush me.

I legitimately just unlocked Tingle in Hyrule Warriors last night and the way he shakes his butt ALL THE TIME really fucking bothers me. Also his face is the skeeziest looking thing ever.
