I play it and really like it. I mostly just do the old school franchise mode though. I don’t like the story modes they have for creating a player or the GM thing bc they’re boring and take forever to load. I just like making stupid trades and dunking on fools.

 

Most of them are through the weekend, but you can also purchase straight from the website if you don’t have your Switch with you.

 

I've been playing Marvel Superheroes 2 on the Switch lately and it's a decent game to just relax and have fun with.

 

The Messenger is going to rule.

The style change between an 8-bit and 16-bit game is a time travel mechanic that effects the environment (and music) at the very least. Looks to have Shovel Knight level of polish. Lots of fun little details in the video. Love the music becoming muted when you're underwater, the explanation of why you don't "die" and that snarky game over screen.

Just went to Target with my daughter and saw they were doing their buy one get one 50% off video games deal. Checked online and it seems like it’s for all Targets. Ends today if anyone wants to get in there and get a nice deal.

I don't even know why as I've only watched one trailer but I'm so hyped for this game that it is slowly killing me

 

Finally got to the summit on Celeste today, what a wonderful game.

 

This 2K18 port seems pretty good despite the fact that it still doesn't connect to the My2K18 app apparently. If they can optimize better for next year (maybe a better frame rate, slightly better textures and resolution), it'll be killer.

Whoever was in charge of the writing and making sure that cutscenes are unskippable should be fired though.

 

If I had to bet I'd bet on them not making another one

 

I would be surprised if they didn't considering the massive install base of the Switch. By the time 2K19 is out, there will be a whole bunch of new potential customers that weren't around for 2K18 and another year of experience learning what the Switch can do.

All that matters is that they sell copious VC.

 

I really wish they didn't advertise "an update on the release date" earlier this week when it ended up being "we can't even give you a release window yet"

Happy for the detailed update though. Optimizing the hell out of it AND adding new content to the core game. With the DLC, which is included, this creeps up into a 40-50 hour metroidvania which is HUGE. I'll just assume this comes out in like August and anything earlier will be a pleasant surprise.

 

Yeah but do you think it sold well? I'm not sure that most of people that own Switches want to play that game on it. We'll see.

 

NBA Playgrounds sold super well by taking advantage of the lack of basketball on the Switch at the time despite not being very good and the Switch being fairly new at the time. I think the money is there. VC has absolutely no overhead cost so even if it doesn't sell amazingly, they will make cash.

 

That's not a simulation game, that's a different target group. Maybe 2K did well though, I don't know.

I’m getting one on payday. Very excited. Have skipped the last few nintendo consoles, mainly because I played my Xbox one all the time. Recently though I’ve been sold on the switch from hearing rave reviews. Pretty obvious that MARIO odyssey and BoTW will be my first game purchases. MARIO Kart too! Can’t wait!

Maybe a joycon update will help, if it still connects to the Switch in any way.

 

I tried that! It connects and acknowledges a joycon is attached but some of the buttons quit responding and it seems like + keeps getting triggered and pause screens show up, but then I reattach it and it's functional for a bit. I googled and I saw some people mentioning similar problems so I'm gonna try some fixes tonight. here's hoping!
