I like the theory that it's built using the same engine as Wii U, but will have enough new stuff (and maybe some changes) to not be considered a port. Kind of like Splatoon to Splatoon 2.

 

I'd be more than fine with this. I never played Smash for U so it'll be like a completely new experience for me, much like Splat 2 was.

 

I really don't get why peolle say that Splatoon 2 isn't a proper sequel

 

I'd guess it's from people who only do multiplayer. I have no clue though, I never owned a Wii U so I haven't played the first one. I actually finally got around to finishing the campaign last night, ha (after 150+ hours of play time). Stoked for the DLC this Summer.

 

I mean the multiplayer is as similar (or as different) as is always the case in shooter series. New maps and guns and legacy maps and guns. I feel like people just want be snarky about for the sake of it.

 

made the mistake of booting up The End is Nigh at work this morning and can already tell I'm going to be banging my head against a wall for the next ~10 hours

 

Anything on sale I should purchase? Other than Blossom Tales since I’ve already played through that.

How forgiving is Crypt of the Necrodancer? I don't mind the rhythm aspect but I was hoping I could get to play it like a mystery dungeon game. I've been watching clips and it looks really, really good.

 

Floor Kids is a perfect 'now that it's on sale game', as is Thumper. I bought both full price and they are solid rhythm games.

 

How long does the sale go?

 

Oh nice! I've been waiting for Steamworld Heist to go on sale.

 

Kamiko is a great if you enjoy a game like Blossom Tales. VERY short, which is why its $2.99, but worth that imo.

I've put 200 hours into Rocket League on Switch so I have to give that a recommendation if you aren't playing on another platform.

Frustrated that Owlboy is on sale everywhere but NA.

 

Human Falls Flat is great to play with mates locally taking turns. It’s so frustrating but in a fun way. I guess it’s similar to octodad and games like that where it’s hard to control your character.

 

Just gonna bump this. Wanna make sure it'll still be good on Saturday when I get home from Miami.

I have managed to retain some sense of composure, though I've had to take a couple "serenity breaks"

This is my second save file, this time through I've only died 2618 times. PROGRESS.

 

I mean if they’re trying to launch Smash with the paid online service in September, (which I think is an idea waiting for disaster), it makes sense they’d have the base mode in a playable state by June.

was looking forward to hollow knight, but i saw the developer had said it wouldnt be on the shoscase but that news would come this week. where are the news?

I was just surprised that they would host a tournament for a game people haven't learned

 

They did the same thing with Smash 4.

I mean it still could be a port (though it very likely isn't), but this isn't evidence of anything either way.
