It just dawned on me that E3 is in 3 months.

Time to start counting down the minutes like a fucking lunatic.

 

at least my eyes read this perfectly. you start by seeing link and DK and Kirby so you think its real. Then you see Sans and go "oh really that's cool". Then you see boss baby and the bamboozle is up.

 

The Smash Bros game for Switch is an entirely new game. The developers are HAL (who developed Smash 64/Melee), while the developers for Smash 4 was Bandai. Also on the game's website it says original game at the bottom.

 

(Might have already been said here) it’s probably a Splatoon 2 like situation, new game with main core cast of characters and some returning and new stages. I just need my Cloud.

 

Okay so I guess we have to wait until E3, here is what I'm thinking:

- Smash for Switch full reveal
- Gamecube Controller for Switch announcement
- Tying into Gamecube Virtual Console announcement and some games that we will be getting
- And then tying those to Paid Online Services on Smash release with a free 1 month trial

 

Damn it I just bought Okami for Xbox

 

E3 is gonna have me in tears this year

 

So outside of Crash and Shovel Knight, any fairly predictable character adds?

 

Well, Inklings for sure. Captain Toad absolutely needs to happen. Gunvolt came to mind, but that doesn't seem likely. I wouldn't turn my nose up at any XC2 or BotW additions, either. The Champions would be cool to play as, and there are way too many awesome blades in XC2 to leave them out.

 

This sounds 100% plausible. Willing to bet the delay of their online service was due to them wanting it to launch day and date with Smash. You wanna play Smash online? Pay up. Not a bad strategy from a monetary perspective.

 

I had been wondering what kind of massive 1st-party title Nintendo had up its sleeve for this year, considering how huge of a year they had last year and this year it's mostly just been ports announced. Should've really figured it'd be Smash.

 

Someone from ARMS maybe?

 

I think Shovel Knight and a character from ARMS are pretty safe bets for inclusion. Hopefully they can include all the DLC characters from Smash 4, although no matter what I fully expect Bayonetta to be in there.

Also would love to see Travis Touchdown, especially with the new game also launching this year (which is another title I'm stoked for that got sadly overshadowed by the Smash news).

Nintendo:
- Crash Bandicoot in Smash

PS4
- Crash Bash, CTR, Spyro

Xbox
- Flash Dandycute announced for later this year

 

If Crash expanded to Nintendo I think it's fairly possible now for Cuphead to come to Switch and I really hope that happens

 

I hope Mario and Cappy are in Smash and you can absorb peoples specials, sort of like Kirby.

 

Microsoft directly assisted the development of Cuphead if I'm not mistaken, and I also think Microsoft would hurl money at them to keep them exclusive, but I would totally beat it again on Switch

 

I don't have or want an Xbox but it looks so fun and a perfect Switch game :(

 

Some sort of Rabbid, Rex from XC2 (maybe replacing Shulk), some different Fire Emblem reps, an ARMS character, return of Ice Climbers

 

It’s so nice having Nintendo back and crushing it.

 

Tennis looks really, really good. I was already planning on getting it, but seeing all the attention to detail is great. I love the idea of having a mode that's just straight up tennis without any of the wacky shots. Kinda liking playing with no items in Smash. And motion controls! Omg!

 

Mario invades Google Maps to help you avoid bananas while driving

 

The prospect of me possibly being able to play Smash Bros on Switch at E3 this year is exciting.

 

I will def get mario tennis and love it but man the mario tennis I had for Game Boy Color was the best. I wish this Mario Tennis was going to have that kind of story mode.
