lol I did two B-Sides, I don't think I could handle a next step up in difficulty, holy moly.

 

Pillars Of Eternity 2 coming to Switch

 

Try to at least play through The Core at some point. It introduces some really fun new mechanics.

 

Is the Core more storyline? Or is it just bonus content?

 

I believe there's light story as it's her discovering the secrets of the mountain a year later. It's light on lore if I remember but it is a full fledged new chapter and introduces wild new game play so I consider it an integral part of the main game

 

That's an incredibly ambitious game to put on the Switch and I'm super excited that it can be done. I wonder how much visual scaling they will have to do.

 

Definitely more storyline, but it's basically an epilogue from a story perspective. From a gameplay perspective, it's just as big of a level as any of the other chapters. I consider Chapter 7 to be "the end" but Chapter 8 is certainly also essential. It's really damn fun too.

I think tackling part of the Chapter 1 b-side helped increase my skill level. Most of Chapter 4 isn't insanely challenging anymore. I definitely have died quite a bit, but I can usually figure out the best solution to a room a lot faster than before.

 

I had a harder time with Chapter 3 than I did with 4.

 

I am not done Chapter 4 yet, but I definitely struggled more with Chapter 3 as well.

 

This was probably the source of 90% of my frustration. \

I actually played a good portion of it last night! It was pretty fun, though now I'm stuck at some bonkers point where I have to keep flipping switches midair.

 

At first I would get pissed at the game when I tried to go horizontal and went diagonal instead. And then I realized it really was me, just getting ready for my next move. This game is so precise.

 

Oh nice! Enjoy Night in the Woods. It's such a great game too.

Anyone going for any sort of speed runs in Celeste? Just got 1:54.189 on Chapter One.

where did the buzz for this game come about? i never heard of it until like the day before it came out and now it's all i see people talking about

 

I was mildly interested in it after seeing it in a Direct, but a few days before release it started getting insanely positive reviews and kind of snowballed from there. Kind of cool to see so many indies sitting in the top charts of the eshop right now.

 

I know it was on my radar before release for some reason, think it was in a direct and publications were buzzing about it because their last game (Towerfall) was really well received. That being said, it got a couple 10/10 reviews the day it came out from reputable pubs so I don't think that hurt

Seeing a 10/10 on IGN is what got me to buy Inside and this thread further convinced me for Celeste.

 

Yep! No deaths... You can probably realistically die once and keep it under two minutes. Super fun though!
