As much as I love the 3DS, I feel that its time is up. Bring 3DS titles to the Switch.

 

Is Labo a Japanese title? Like, I don’t understand the name. I think toycon would have been better.

 

Eh, I think it should still have some life in it. Obviously the heavy hitters will be Switch titles, but it’s good to have a cheaper model for people to still play games on

 

I mean I want all games on Switch last month 700k people disagreed with us haha

Perhaps they do want the games on the Switch, but they had to buy a 3DS because the games were not on the Switch.

 

It didn't really have any releases though, at this point it's just b-tier Kirby and late localizations of JRPGs.

Well, the cardboard attachments are called toy-cons.

 

Right, which is a cool name! I was wondering why that wasn’t just the official name. Like, “toy-con accessories for Nintendo Switch”. I understand the Labo branding a little more now though.

 

Gotcha. Yeah, not particularly connected to Labo but I get it. There's definitely a STEM influence with these being sort of introductory coding and engineering exercises for kids. Some of the builds look fairly complex. I loved doing stuff like that with my parents when I was kid. Some incredibly creative uses of the Joy-Cons and definitely inspiring that creativity in its audience. That, and as someone else pointed out, the social and environmental consciousness of the approach and material is just awesome.

I've been grinding for coins to finish up getting all the outfits, then i'll have finished it as well. for me, i'm looking forward to finishing. i haven't found the game to be as fantastic as most, so it's been kind of a slog, but I can't let myself leave this game unfinished out of pride.

 

I've been wanting one for years and finally bought the New 2DS XL model last August and haven't put it down. There's so many great titles available. Also, Marioland 3D and A Link Between Worlds become Nintendo Select titles next month. I'll be picking up both of those.
