I've spent over $200 on Nintendo in the past 72 hours

why do I hate myself for this

 

I don't have a Switch, but one of the best things about Splatoon on the Wii U was being able to see your teammates on the gamepad map and launch yourself to them when you respawn by clicking on them. Does Splatoon 2 just omit that?

 

It's still there. I think you need to press X or Y to access it.

 

Last night was amazing for me, was winning a good 90% of my matches and pretty consistently was getting 1k+ points pre-win bonus and topped my teams. Made me feel good about my Splatoon skills.

This all came crashing down this morning when I went back to being mediocre and losing half my games. Still, I think I'm getting my Splatoon skills back after a year and a half of not playing the first.

 

You bring up a map and then use the dpad to choose who to jump to. It's not as good as the way they did it on WiiU but it's fine.

 

I lost every single match last night because I kept getting a terrible team

Same. I kept topping at 1st or 2nd place, and had some good moments. What i try to do is when I start to feel the slightest bit of burning out I jump to other game modes.

I'm doing Salmon Run. It's pretty fun, especially when the different bosses start to accumulate on the map.

 

Mainly the voice chat, loadouts and playing with friends and so on. This game was mainly designed to be a "casual" shooter that works without voice chat and a large amount of strategizing in order to appeal to the broad Japanese market.. which it did, like almost no other shooter could. Of course people can want something else, but they are maybe looking for that stuff in the wrong game.

 

So is Arms online a ghost town at this point?

 

I actually got to test Arms in person for the first time yesterday at this outside of comic con Nintendo event and I really want to get it now

 

I do HATE that you still can't switch loadouts between games without backing out of matchmaking completely.

 

It does look fun. I just think it's strange to sandwich a new online MP game right in between 2 juggernauts like Mario Kart and Splatoon. They should've given it more room to breathe.

I saw a squid kid with amazing samurai armor, realized I could get that with an amiibo, and now I have a kart full of them at Target. Why do I let Nintendo have this power over me?

I don't know if anyone checked out the app after everything that came out about it, but its integration with Splatoon 2 is really awesome. Way more than just the voice chat stuff.

they even are doing splatoon battles with all the people who brought their switch.

 

Anyone get a cancellation for their SNES classic? Seeing a lot of people saying there's was cancelled or Walmart telling them it will be.

 

I hope i like splatoon 2 since my walmart (small town/no other options) didn't have physical. Got the digital version.

 

It seems when I play in the day everyone is amazing.

but at night everyone sucks
