Some genius who knew it would be the best way to play.

Whenever I get into a motion aiming debate with you, I'm reminded of the Joker in the Dark Knight. "I think you and I are destined to do this forever."

Splatfest idea: team motion controls versus team no motion controls.

    Get on it Nintendo.

I guess that makes me Scarecrow, on the side of motion aiming but not good enough of a villain to prove it.

but i just really want to be Cillian Murphy

    WHERE IS IT?!

I haven't played with them on in the Switch version yet (because the only time I played it was the original Testfire, and in handheld mode) but for the original Splatoon I was surprised to find myself preferring motion controls despite hating them in virtually every other game. Took a little while of getting used to but it ended up feeling really natural once I finally did.

    Just a friendly reminder

Aiming is much tighter and smoother with motion controls once you get used to them. I turned them off in the first Splatoon and found myself getting killed a lot more because it took longer to get my target with the sticks. Motion controls are the best option but they just take a bit of practice because no other game controls like that.

I don't mind the motion controls for Splatoon 2. I used them in the first demo, then when I turned them off for splatfest, I was still automatically trying to use them, haha.

Gonna have to settle this once the game comes out and setup a turf war :fist:

And just like Batman you won't kill people. Except he won't for moral reasons, you won't because of your controls preference.

Hopped over to the Wii U subreddit just because I wanted to see what was passing as news over there these days. One of the top posts is a "deal" that Call of Duty Black Ops II is on "sale" for $20.

It has to be literally the worst third party support in the history of console gaming, right?

In terms of the four major console "manufacturers", it has to be very close, though Sega had some troubled hardware too. There are of course plenty of consoles in the vein of the Philips CD-i that had it worse, haha.

You are totally right, but fuck man, if being mentioned in the same breath as CD-i isn't almost worse haha

Going through some classics on Dolphin. Rn playing Budokai Tenkaichi 3 and Mario Sunshine.

Budokai is still the king of unlockable-fests, and it's running at 1080p 50 fps... the cel shaded models pop so hard.

Mario gets bumped down to 720p and 50 because I'm running into more lag with that one. What a great game tho. The island cluster is a perfect way to implement a smaller hub world without feeling like you're hitting invisible walls, and having the blue coin be a functional currency is a nice change of pace that I'm glad is spiritually returning in Odyssey even more improved.

I've been picking away at a couple games I've neglected the past couple months but all I can think about is how much I'm looking forward to a shitload of Splatoon this weekend.
