I ended up playing mostly Ribbon Girl by the end of the Testpunch sessions, wanted to try out the few characters that weren't playable before deciding on a main. I do think Ribbon Girl might be my favorite so far, I got pretty used to jumping around in the air.

 

I am lazy and hate having to swap out games, so I'll be going digital for most games that are good for small chunks of play (Mario Kart, ARMS, Mario+Rabbids) but I'll be getting a cart for anything massive (Zelda, Odyssey, Xenoblade).

I was able to play through the Grand Prix one time before I had to leave for work and loved it. Looking forward to spending some time with it this weekend, for sure.

I go physical 99% of the time if physical is an option. Other than indies, the only exceptions are games like Animal Crossing: games that are best in short bursts before I switch back to whatever game I've got loaded in the machine.

 

Outside of sales and such I like to go digital for games I know I'll play a lot of off and on (online focused shooters, party games, Animal Crossing) and physical for everything else. Occasionally I'll get a little hasty and go digital for games I'm super hyped for so I can play 'em right at midnight.

Played my first ranked match, got a perfect. I'm the best.

 

I haven't even finished any Grand Prix 4. Trying to do it rn

 

Cobra Kid's disc stage is frustrating. It reminds me of Obi Wan vs Anakin fight

 

That was the first stage for me (only did Grand Prix once so I don't know if the order switches up) but I had trouble fighting on that stage and worried GP4 might be a little too hard. Luckily that was by far the hardest fight outside of the final boss.

 

I wasn't planning on it but I might have to go pick this up today

 

Still haven't decided if I'm going to buy ARMS. Might hold off, if only for my wallet's sake.

 

yeah im not getting arms any time soon, only nintendo things i know im getting for sure are pokken, ultra sun and moon, and odyssey

 

I'm getting Rabbids, Odyssey and Xenoblade this year. Might get the first Splatoon too.

 

Splatoon, Rabbids, Mario, Xenoblade... so pretty much every big first party game outside of Pokken.

 

Odyssey, Xenoblade, and Metroid: Samus Returns are my Nintendo Day 1 buys for the rest of the year. I'll probably wind up getting Splatoon also but may not be on Day 1. I have so many games backlogged right now I can't justify it yet.

 

Rabbids, Mario and prob Splatoon for sure. still debating Arms

 

Splatoon, Mario, Xenpblade and Rabbids definitly, Pokemon probably, problably also another 3DS RPG

 

You're definitely a better player. I struggled a lot with GP4. But I finally finished it. Good god that last match. I'm so happy. I'll practice for a while then probably do ranked.

to people unsure about ARMS: I don't recommend it unless the gameplay really interests you. feel like this is a niche game haha, but it definitely works.

 

If you're getting Splatoon for the campaign I think the one in the second game is supposed to be longer and stuff

 

Yeah but the first one is cheaper, haha. I have a lot of games to buy for the rest of the year, trying to spend less. If I like the first I'll probably get the second at some point too.

 

Do we know when playgrounds is getting an update?

 

It was supposed to be like this week and that did not happen so who knows

 

Xenoblade 2 is something to get excited about. As a fan of Fire Emblem Awakening and Birthright should I get hyped for Warriors?

 

I think it's more like if you're a fan of Dynasty warriors and would enjoy all the added Fire Emblem references, then yeah you should get hyped
