Monster Hunter has been the rare exception to this rule up until this point, though. $40 games with a load of DLC, 100% of it being free and usually incorporating other Nintendo/Capcom franchises. Plus, they're allowing crossgeneration multiplayer and save transfers with XX.

And then they go and fuck it all up. Yesterday in general was a bad PR day for them lol

 

Amazon says my ARMS preorder won't arrive until Tuesday -_-. Cancelling that, may buy digital. It's my roommates last day at Target tomorrow though so maybe he'll finally abuse that manager's discount for me.

 

E3 hype made the wait for ARMS this week much easier. I'm gonna play so much this weekend.

 

I've been watching the ARMS invitational and it got me pretty pumped. The Japanese producer of ARMS who fought the winner of the tournament for the exhibition match played insanely well.

 

I've never owned a nintendo console but really want a switch. Maybe once the price goes down.

 

That will be quite a while

 

So who's getting ARMS this weekend? Maybe we can get a little tourney going?

 

I'm gonna need to snag ARMS tomorrow. Beta was entirely too much fun.

 

I have to work during the day but my evening is set for all ARMS tomorrow. Gonna crush ya.

 

I can't really afford ARMS, but that's a problem for future me! Tomorrow me will be arms deep in ARMS.

 

A price drop will be a while, but I imagine that there will be a packed in game come holiday time.

 

I forgot ARMS was out tomorrow, there's now way I can pick it up unfortunately :(

Ever Oasis looks cute but I need to cut off financial ties with my 3DS if I want to not be homeless by the end of holiday 2017.

 

Yeah there are a few games I missed on 3DS that I'll eventually go back for (looking at u Bravely Second) but it's def not a priority right away

Every second of Odyssey is so gorgeous, but I'm only popping in for seconds at a time because I want to go in as blind as I can

So which one of you sickos is about to buy Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star soon because you want "something to play on Switch"? ;D

 

I consider myself a very openminded person, but I just can't help but feel grossed out by waifu culture. Especially when so many of the girls are creepily portrayed as young, or as neckbeards would say, "innocent".

 

It's bad. A lot of anime that is good in theory can be unwatchable to me because of stuff like that. I hate it when people brush it off with "that's just Japan", that's the worst kind of cultural relativism. I'm also pretty sure this game is bad with or without that shit, haha.

 

I was considering it, but uh apparently I'm missing some information here. What are you on about?

 

It has a lot of what some would call "fan service". It's not nearly as bad as some of the other games these guys make though I guess.

 

Less this game in particular, but the "girls with big boobs" subgenre of Japanese games is just gross. Like that one game for Switch that is using HD rumble to "simulate the feel of breasts". If it keeps the perverts in their basements and off the streets, whatever, but it's gross.
