Does anyone know if the $99 3DS Black Friday deal is in store only? I just had surgery so won't be able to make it to stores and would love to snag one online at that price if possible.

 

@TheLuckyMoose isn't this also the first time since GCN that a Nintendo console will be built very similar to both the Sony and Microsoft ones? If so that might be the reason people are convinced with 3rd party support more than ever since porting would require less effort than before.

But I'm also asking genuinely since I really don't know.

Curious to see if this will be a pain to use like GBA4iOS was.

 

Yes, in theory, but the machine will be underpowered, especially compared to PS4Pro and Scorpio. That means developers would have to downgrade most of their ports, which is extra work and leads to bad experiences. Less demanding indie games are another matter, I expect to see more of those on Switch than on WiiU.

G: What do you think of the Switch, Nintendo's newly announced console that is portable but also hooks up to your TV?

TH: I love it. I got to play it. I will tell you – well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3.

G: Was it a Nintendo game?

TH: I mean the device itself. I think it's really smart what they're doing. We're definitely going to be supporting it. It's the first time we've done something on Nintendo. If you don't count the old NES stuff. Home Alone. Or Where's Waldo?

G: Can you really bring Skyrim with you on the go?

TH: It's the same game on the TV and on the other screen.



Still weird to see Bethesda excited about a Nintendo console.

 

Haha, yeah.

I kind of wanted to see how the Nintendo devs reacted when they were trying out Skyrim and realized how buggy the game is.

Not necessarily dissing Bethesda; they have some of the best writers.

 

The way those games are broken is getting kind of old to be honest.

God I hate diving for ingredients for Harvest Festival dishes in ACNL

 

They're still popping up here and there if you check that thread you linked to. I was able to grab one last night around 1AM EST from Wal-Mart. Pretty stoked to upgrade from the 2DS I've had for a bit.

Just snagged a black 3DS preorder from Walmart's site! Says it will arrive on Dec. 16th.

 

I was able to snag a Nintendo Classic this morning. Target near my gym supposedly had three, so I drove there as soon as I was done. Was second in line, only waited about 30 minutes. Staff came out and let us know they were ours (there were only three of us in line at that point). Huzzah!

 

Can I come over? I have a 9ft controller but no system yet!

 

I'm visiting Osaka next July. I really hope Nintendo Land is set up by then.

The Zelda remakes, Pokemon Moon, Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario 3D, Mario Kart, Smash

 

i have all these except the zelda games. ocarina is definitely high up on my list to get. i also want a link between worlds.

 

I really like the Phoenix Wright series as well as the Layton series. Fire Emblem Awakening was also very good.

 

Also I haven't played it in like 4 years but I remember really enjoying the Lego Star Wars game lol

 

If you like Dragon Ball, Fusions is a goddamn treasure.
