glad everyone can chill out on Pokemon coming to Switch, that confirmation was a good thing.

but HOLY SHIT just finished the Direct. that was so much better than I was anticipating. Kirby looks really fun, fucking Metroid, and Mario looks so bizarre I love it.

 

Oh wow, I missed the date.

 

I think they're doing something new. I'm glad theyre not making Metroid.

are you just sticking to switch? cause ultra sun and moon is in november and with pokken in september that's a game for every month

 

It'd be a lot of fighting games with ARMS and Pokken already out but Smash sure would slot in nicely in November...

 

Nah I was just thinking if there was at least one big release per month.

That's pretty impressive tbh. I'm thinking maybe next year they'll slow it down a bit and let the 3rd party developers do their thing?

I haven't played the previous games or really followed the series, but they really changed up the art style for xenoblade huh?

Overall though, spotlight totally delivered and I can't believe how stoked I am about Mario + Rabbids.

Would have been nice to get some Animal Crossing news or any word on VC but whatev. Also I was reeeally hoping for a Stardew Valley release date.

 

If it's the same as last year it should be.

 

The more I see of Rabbids, the more I like. I wonder if we get a level editor, seems like a perfect fit for that

 

My only worry is it might be too easy. I hope there's a difficulty slider or something.

 

Hopefully the XCOM-style combat will bring with it the difficulty level

FE Warriors next. I spent around 300 hours on Hyrule Warriors so I'm equal parts excited and afraid for my health.

 

still haven't gotten around to Hyrule Warriors so I hope FE Warriors will be the game that wins me over to Dynasty Warriors-type games

 

Is there any strategy to these games? I literally know nothing about them, but it looks like you just go out into a field and start slicing fools.

 

The strategy is almost nonexistent, but there is a challenge if it makes sense. In order to get the highest rank you have to master a combination of a fast clear time, a lack of damage taken, and a certain amount of enemies defeated in one run. There are also additional objectives, and you fight for control of bases to reduce enemy spawns. Basically, the enemies will never be difficult, but the tasks set around them can be rage-inducing lol

 

haha that makes sense, especially while watching this stream. The amount of enemies on screen is stressing me out.

 

I don't care about Warriors games at all, haha.

 

yeah, idk, maybe I'll give this a shot. The combos look cool and everything, but just seems like I would get tired of this pretty quick
