    so much for them! Prestigious

i do think theyre just gonna focus on odyssey and give some last minute info on arms and splatoon 2. i would like to see vc and release dates for the many awesome indie games that have been announced for it (particularly hollow knight and stardew valley)

I think we'll see Animal Crossing Switch with the Animal Crossing mobile game in its own direct, a la the FE direct with Heroes/Echoes.

I'm happy with this year's lineup to be honest so anything new on E3 will be a bonus for me. Can't say I'm not anxious though. I mean it can still be underwhelming.

Yeah people that expect a lot are maybe being a bit unfair, they have quite a mumber of heavy hitters this year (including the ones already out or soon to be out) and you know there'll be games that'll just come out after a random Direct and won't be at e3

Also I don't want to say but I'd say there is a 50/50 chance that the next Animal Crossong will still be on 3DS, unless it's not coming out until like fall 2018

AC is one of their franchises that only has one main series title per console though and they proooobably wouldn't have bothered rereleasing the 3DS game last year with the extra content/amiibo support if they had another 3DS entry in development. The one-per-system thing isn't a guarantee of course but it does make me think the next title is more likely to be on Switch (I hope). I would guess that there was a game in development for Wii U that got moved to Switch once they decided to quickly move on from the Wii U.

Not spoilering it because it's obviously the fakest of the fake. 26 games in as many minutes? Every active Nintendo IP outside of Star Fox? Two Metroids being developed simultaneously? DK being licensed out to Playtonic? lol

I'm not expecting much, I would love to get a Tropical Freeze port. I would love to see a new 2D Metroid and a new IP from Retro but I'm not expecting to see either honestly.

Also please let Wii Sports be dead.

I don't know if it will pan out, but I kind of love that Nintendo is making a big push to get into the competitive gaming scene. I'll definitely try to watch the ARMS and Splatoon events next week if I can.

One more thing: I don't know how much you guys pay attention to stuff like this but I know for a fact that Nintendo has a lot of first party and second party studios that haven't released or even announced anything in quite a while (probably because the WiiU was doing so badly that Nintendo at some point pushed all these games to the Switch) but also haven't been closed, which means a lot of games are coming and are being worked on (and have been for a while) even if they aren't at e3 and aren't coming out this year. Some of that will be for 3DS, but most of it will come to Switch.

Retro is probably the obvious one, but one podcast I listen to (don't remember which one) brought up whichever studio made Excite Truck, Pilotwings Resort and the Donkey Kong and Xenoblade 3DS ports. I would imagine they have a port or two in the works.

Yeah ports to Switch and probably still 3DS but a lot of that will be done by port houses too
