Also, Towerfall Ascension is coming to Switch, and it is the best local multiplayer game I've played in my life and I'm drooling at being able to bring it anywhere.

Was it possible to play with friends during the Splatoon Testfire? I was out of town and missed the whole dang thing, but I'm definitely going to get in on some ARMS action over the next two weekends.

 

Nope, just all random matches.

 

There is not unfortunately, but one of the devs tweeted about working on it today and it was confirmed in the Nindies showcase.

You will not be disappointed. There are so many options/items/rule variations. If you set the rules to random you can get hours out of it in a sitting.

It's on PS4 and PC as well if you get the itch

 

Not without struggle. Basically what we did was the moment the event started we joined a game all at the same time and hoped for the best.

Luckily enough it took me like 2 or 3 tries. Haha.

 

When is the Splatoon 2 test fire?

 

It happened already. And it was awesome.

Maybe they'll host another one.

Beat me to it. That's craaazy.

 

Honestly would have been shocked if this didn't happen, not doing a quick and easy 3DS port a la MH3U on Wii U is pretty much passing up free money for Capcom.

 

I mean it was bound to happen. But I didn't expect the announcement to be this early.

We're only 3 months in, and the amount of new content pouring in is way above what I expected, which I thought was already generous.

I guess since Capcom was so into the Switch development that they were already able to migrate the MH engine. Pretty cool.

 

I am a little salty that it's XX and not a new title. XX would be fine for my 3DS, where my hours and hours and hours of grinding transfer over... but I get the feeling I won't get the luxury on the Switch. If that's the case, gonna ditch my play style entirely and do an Insect Glaive run or something.

 

There was cross save functionality for 3U so it's not entirely out of the question, it'd be nice if there was some way to get my MHGen data over to the Switch.

 

Is XX already on Switch? The last MH I played was Generations (which iirc is MHX)

 

I am not looking forward to the sequel, which would definitely be MH XXX

 

Having a blast with Thumper but I also want Puyo Tetris and Disgaea after the demos even though ARMS and Splatoon 2 will keep me busy enough when they're out. Never thought I'd be saying this so early but I think there are too many games I want to play on the Switch.

Monster Hunter is one of those series that I've played demos for, enjoyed, but never actually got into. Maybe nows the time

 

I've never played a MH before, but I'll probably pick up the switch version because I've heard good things about them

 

XX is the best game to start in, because some of the new hunter styles are basically an "easy mode". That being said, the aerial art is the easiest one to use, but also by far the most fun lol. I main it. Would love to Guild Quests with chorus people.
