I started Xenoblade Chronicles 2 like… 6 years ago and got overwhelmed about an hour into the game so I put it back into the backlog. Well I decided to start over but with the 1st game this time and it’s finally clicking for me!

 

I just finished the first game I made a big post of my thoughts in the video game thread, it’s phenomenal. Now I only need to play 2 and X

 

I’m starting to collect JRPGs on DS that I can’t get ports of on Switch of PlayStation 5. I found these at a used game/toy shop by me. I know they’re rare, but $50 though

 

I love buying physical DS games even if they are on switch but I do like to find non switch titles. I need bravely default. I bought fire emblem shadow dragon last year for pretty cheap tho, great pick up very happy with it

 

dude those old physical games are so $$ now. I wanted to play DQ8 on the 3DS but even years ago it was like $70

 

Mario and Sonic were benched by the Olympics in favour of NFTs and esports, former producer on the series says

its my favorite and worst system to collect for because prices are all over the place lol. monster hunter generations x cost me 3 bucks, DQ 8 pushes 120 these days

If you've never played a Mystery Dungeon game before, it's a series of roguelike games where you explore randomly generated dungeons for fun and profit.

The series has an original protagonist in Shiren The Wanderer, but they also do crossovers with Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, and as seen here, Pokémon.

They're fun.

Got married yesterday and managed to sneak in 10 minutes of Pokemon talk with my nephew at the party. Wouldn’t have been authentic otherwise.

 

my partner really loved Mystery Dungeon growing up and is trying to get me to play the remake soon

I started playing the 3rd game in the no more heroes series on my ps5 until I realized I was playing them in the wrong order.

I just bought the first two on the switch so now I’m excited to start them tomorrow.

 

Zelda looks really cool. My main concern though, is how they are going to encourage the player to use different solutions. Seems like just stacking beds will solve a lot of the problems we've seen in the trailers

 

You could say the same about Tears. The real answer is to let players make the choice to engage or not.

 

Tears did have the same problem, but it tried to solve it witht the shrines. Im hopeful that this one has some attempt at incentive to try new things.

 

This took a lot more from Breath/Tears than I was expecting. Cool stuff!

 

So many problems in Tears were solved by just making massive fucking bridges hahaha
