I definitely remember Dread being hard but it was also really satisfying to beat those bosses I was struggling on. To me it’s way better than like, a Souls or Hollow Knight for example. Those games feel so punishing, every time you die you lose something and have to grind your way back to the boss before trying again. In Dread you can kind of just repeat the boss a billion times with no consequences and bang your head against it until you eventually push through it.

 

I thought Dread was kind of easy. The only boss I had trouble with was the final boss. Rage quit for like half a day and then beat him.

 

The electric bug boss was the one that I remember taking me forever for some reason

partner picked up the TTYD remake today. really fun to see him dive into the nostalgia, and also get to experience it for the first time myself.

 

I remember feeling meh on it on 3DS. Not sure if I’ll pick it up again

I've never played it on 3DS so I'll try it on Switch, but from what I've heard it's the weakest of the 3 LM games. I'm sensing you agree as well.

 

People really dislike/hate that the mansions are separate levels. I think the game is much, much better than the first game. If they fixed some of the unnecessary backtracking the game will be pretty great.

 

Yeah I wasn’t a fan of separate levels. I liked the connectivity of 1 and 3. It was definitely my least favorite of the 3.

 

Nintendo is running Nintendo Switch Sports TV ads here during all the European Cup games. Those are expensive slots. The Switch is alive and kicking, haha.

 

Mario maker 2 is pretty cool. I bought it because I thought my son would like building levels. Everyday day he will make a level for me to beat and I’ll make one for him to beat. Nothing super complicated but it’s fun.

 

I didn't so much getting into the level building aspect of Mario Maker 2, but I loved playing the super hard levels people made online. Also liked the campaign mode.

 

Mario maker was way better on Wii U because I loved how it controlled when making stuff and I really liked all the weird amiibo stuff
