I actually think the battle wheel makes things easier for newcomers (so you're clear on weapon type/unit is strong and weak to other units) but I really haven't been a fan of the increased focus on relationships in the past couple Fire Emblem games. Not all of unique features work for me but I'm definitely a bigger fan of this than I have been of the other 3DS games.

 

Yeah that's a great point. Right now it's basically just looking at an opponent's DEF or RES to determine if I send a mage or something else.

 

my co-worker found a switch yesterday at Best Buy and I'm all proud because I convinced him to get it.

 

Yeah I enjoyed it in awakening but got burnt out in fates. Removing the item-breaking was something I was rooting for since the GBA days but I didn't feel like they didn't really add that much depth. I just brought a weapon and the inverted version of that weapon and I was fine for the entire lunatic run. Lol.

I'm really hoping they switch(Ha!) things up for the next release. I'm craving for a really robust class system that's way less math and more fun to play.

I'm not sure what this game is supposed to play like? it's turn based?

 

Seems like, at its core, a pretty standard turn based RPG - some exploration to find stuff hidden in the overworld but focus on some sort of turn based combat system.

 

lol at Ubi's projected timeline included "surprise announcement" when all of this leaked and this has been heavily rumored for a good six+ months.

 

Oooh I'm very excited.
