Wasn’t Bowser’s Fury supposed to be proof of concept for an open world game? I have no idea how that would translate on a large scale though, accidentally stumbling onto Darker Side of the Moon would be very funny

Took advantage of that QVC deal to pre-order Paper Mario for $40 and now I’m paying for it because it says it’s not expected until 6/4. Bummer

 

Hopefully someone sells the slip cover on ebay. I'd drop $10 on it.

 

Will be diving into paper Mario later. Never played this one.

I tried playing both the OG 64 Paper Mario and The Origami King to try to get into this before this remake came out. Couldn't get into either. This series isn't for me I think.

 

Yeah if you didn't like the OG i don't see why you would like this

 

Paper Mario 64 is a great game, but I’m waiting for Luigi’s Mansion 2 before I put hours into a narrative game

 

Only ever played TOK (which I will defend for life bc it doesn’t deserve the hate) but wow TTYD is pretty rad so far

 

The origami king is a good game. Looks great and has a good story. I personally like the combat.

 

TTYD is definitely one of the best games I’ve ever played personally. I’m excited to get the remake in because I haven’t played it in over 15 years.

 

I played a bit of the Wii one in highschool. Got bored with it. Played a little bit of the Switch one. Got bored with it. Does not bode well going into TTYD

 

My first couple hours of Thousand Year Door were a blast. Can’t believe I missed out on this game all those years ago.

 

Should I play the first paper Mario before thousand year door?

 

I could be remembering wrong, but I’m pretty all you’d be missing would be Easter egg type stuff. I don’t think they were really connected so you could play whatever is more convenient for you first.
