Nintendo certainly cares about graphics, but in more of an art direction way and less of a power flex way.

I also don't mind waiting until next year for a new switch, but if the release coincides with the new 3D Mario then I would like the release to be in the fall.

 

you mean you guys don't want to see 4k hyperrealistic super mario?

 

I honestly don't know how mario graphics can get better than odyssey. Anything more than that may look uncanny. Not sure if I need to see pores on Mario's face

 

I mean even if we look at the most "high def" Mario can get with infinite amounts of processing power, it doesn't look that far from Odyssey. (I am talking about the Mario Movie)

 

A mario game that has as much going on as the Mario movie would look great, but it would probably have to run at 10 fps even on a new switch lol I don't even know if a PS5 and Series X could run something as smooth as an illumination film in game

Well, no, because I am talking about a very specific thing. I don't want Nintendo to push the new hardware's graphics at all.

I want them to push, at best, the resolution/frame rate of graphics that would push the Switch 1. Does that make sense? I want the next Zelda to look exactly like totk except at 60fps/1080p (instead of 900p/30)
