Just finished an hour session with a friend. I just realized the game tracks your wins-losses per friend.

This is how rivalry starts

I'm excited to finally play splatoon since I never had a Wii U for the first one.

 

My concern with buying splatoon is that it's primarily a Multiplayer game, and if Nintendo's online sucks and I don't want to pay for it, splatoon won't feel very worth it.

 

the test fires they had were flawless. and the wiiU version is pretty solid too. i don't think you have to second guess it. plus, they announced an even bigger story mode yesterday.

 

I agree with both of you - voice chat will be the deciding factor for me though. This game thrives when you can communicate and strategize. I'd love if we could get a few thread folks into discord to play pretty often, especially splatfests.

I guess my concern isn't really online performance. I'm slightly concerned with how much they're going to charge.
