I haven't finished Wonder yet but I just did that Jump Jump Jump level I think I read people talking about. It didn't take me long to do because I figured out the music is what messes you up, when your jumps are off sync. So I turned off the volume and did it on my first try. Hah!

 

I think Wonder is pretty good. I don't think Mario games are for me anymore unfortunately. Except Super Mario RPG. That shit slaps.

 

Genuinely the timing of the music fucks me up

 

I loved Wonder and I’m enjoying RPG, but not to the same level. It’s fun but lacks the tactical depth I was hoping for (which makes sense, it was probably a ton of kids’ first RPG).

 

Wtf, now I'm at Climb to the Beat in the Special World. I'm terrible at wall jumping in this game. I feel like it's harder to get the timing right than other Mario games. I'm not doing this one tonight. No thanks.

Edit: okay, I figured out what I was doing wrong. I wasn't fully moving the joystick all the way left or right depending on the wall. You really have to do it all the way, I feel like it's more sensitive than how I remember in previous games.

 

I strongly dislike the overly bloated nature of modern RPGs so I'm loving it

 

Looking this TGA nominations, I think the only one Wonder has on absolute lock to win is Best Family Game.

 

Pikmin 4 is going to get so fucking snubbed because it absolutely deserves it

 

It could still win Best Strategy/Sim Game. I dunno how it'll fare against City Skylines II and FE: Engage though.

I don't think I've played an RPG in the past ten years that isn't bloated haha

I still have Undertale in my backlog on the switch. After Wonder I might finally start that or SM RPG

 

Undertake is cool. Not perfect, but pretty impressive and interesting.

 

Still waiting on DK64 and Diddy Kong Racing

 

I am so upset that Japan is getting Harvest Moon 64 and we are not.

Omg, finished Climb To The Beat in Wonder. I want to cry now. I don't remember the last time I did anything as challenging as this in a game. That took forever!
